- Locker Nuts episode 672
What's better than a beautiful sunny June day here in the San Francisco Bay Area? A beautiful sunny June day that I buy a storage locker for $130 on. Ahhhh yeeaahhhh!!! From the online photos, I saw some mystery, I saw some stuff I'm going to dib, and I saw lots of great stuff to resell. Let's see what all is in there.

My Grandma always wore a bun, and all of her hair that she got off her comb, and out of her brush, she would bag it and when she got a substantial amount, she would wrap it into the bun on her head.
The saw horses and lumber were most likely used as a base/table to support the black hydroponic garden tubs.
7:11 😂😂 Living in Wisconsin we go from 60°F to 90°F in less than 24 hours mate!! If only it took a week!
I was talking about daytime highs... not overnight lows.
I gasp when I see the baby stuff. Someone was keeping them and just let them go! So sad. Love the trunk!
Yes, it is sad. But just as I've replied on other posts regarding this, the office doesn't accept those kind of items back unless the owner is in contact and specifically asked for them. Without that request, they only take photos, paperwork with social security #s, drivers license, passport, birth certificates, etc. We never contact prior owners directly for security reasons.
@@LockerNuts I understand and wasn't blaming you.
I do like that trunk a lot it's more interesting than most of the trunk you've had
It is a Chinese camphorwood chest - the wood has oils in it that deter moths, so they are great for storing clothes and blankets.
@@craftsmanwoodturnerThank you for sharing your knowledge and experience ❤
A little hello from Chiang Mai in Thailand...
Small locker very interesting because a little different from those we usually see!
Since it's very close to your home and there wasn't really a lot of work to do, you will quickly recover your investment and therefore it was worth buying it!
See you soon for more...
Thanks Chris!
Score lot of fun & $$ in this one. All The Best! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
Thanks, you too!
Hey Jack was just thinking they stole the key so ya drop the price I wouldn't even try and sell it there. Or I would be suspicious of buyers there now for sure
Maybe contacting growers in Stockton area about the grow lights and supplies before you go would work out for a much higher profit.
Snoopy hand stitch rug would be 30 on eBay about nice vintage
Those are 800w grow lights they cost about 200$ to ship per light. I have 30 of them. Nalight is the manufacturer they were made for mammoth led in California- they retail for about 1100$
The Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls are so cool there are lots of vintage toy collectors
Hello Jack. Let's see what's inside of this abandoned storage unit. Those saw horses are awesome and will bring you your money 💵 back 🔙. 😊
Looks like a simple n decent locker.. I'm at start of vid, when you're first getting into the unit...I think you'll make some $$ on it. Sad to say, but you might need to just tape a note to scooters, lockers, and stuff that you have keys for that let's ppl know you have the key, but can't leave it out for fear of theft.
Hey Mr. Jack, bring a spare change of shirt or two to change on after loading those items from the locker. You'll feel better and fresh afterwards.
This was in the town over, so it's not long before I'm back home and into the shower.
Some of those old Raggedy Ann n Andy dolls can be worth $$$
I can’t wait to see footage of the Danza flea market.🤗
Thanks for the video!!! Now, I'm looking forward to the DeAnza market!!! 😊
Coming soon!
My Grandfather was a Everlast dealer. Gloves, speed bags, and punching bags. They are not cheap. $20 is a steal for that bag.
Another great video love it blessings to you and your family my bro 🙏🙏
Jack, I had an Everlast bag just like that one I got from a locker. It sold on offer up $30 about 10 years ago. Hope that helps. BTW that was here in WA just outside Seattle.
grow lights a great find they will sell for good well done great vids
So a story for u all we was doing a live unboxing of a unit and we pulled out some hair in a little bag and u should’ve seen the people that wanted to buy it lol crazy what people will buy
Really? Where were those buyers at, the flea market? I've never tried to sell it, but maybe I should.
The market for grow lights and hydro set-ups is HUGE, way bigger than you can imagine. Don't discount or downplay how quick that equipment will sell if you list it correctly and target the right market! And I agree with others about the hair. Family may want that back, even if you think it's gross or don't understand it. Just sayin'.
Sure Jack we won’t tell anyone 😂😂😂
Raggedy Ann and Andy are antiques, you might want to look into them. They are in great condition.
Probably vintage, not antique. Vintage is over 20 years old, antique over 100.
Vintage yes, Andy wears the same outfit mine wears. It was given to me in the 60’s. Yours look a lot! better than mine does.
The AUD 50 cents is an old round one, which is worth more because we don't have round ones any more. Love your work😂
Got to get insider her. Teasing us
Jack, if you are leaving personal items at the office for the previous owner, please consider including envelopes or bags of hair with those items. It’s usually the hair of a deceased loved one. In fact, in the Victorian era, the hair of a deceased loved one was often incorporated into a piece of jewelry. Sounds creepy but it’s true.
That’s true of the Victorian era, but as a mom of 4, I would keep a lock of hair after my babies first haircuts! Makes more sense of finding it in a trunk of baby keepsakes than something creepy!
I have hair from my first haircut and I saved hair from my daughter's first haircut.
Hope things are well at the Locker nuts family 👪 ❤
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
I really love that trunk.
Don’t sell yourself short on those grow lights. If they work they sell really well, even if they’re from aliexpress.
Everyone is moving to LED as hydro is getting more and more expensive
Cool trunk
I do like that hand carved walnut duck It's a very nice
The everlast punching bag sells for around 259.00 new but the one you pulled out looked like very good condition 😊
Jack, one thing that I don't understand is that when you started going through that trunk you said you were giving some paperwork back to the owner but then while cleaning out the rest of the trunk you threw out a lot of personal items that if it were me, I would have given back to the previous owner as well, such as the cards, the child's drawings and baby shoes, etc. I don't begrudge anyone keeping the trunk that the items were stored in or the baby blankets and other sellable items, but the items you tossed would have been precious keepsakes to the person who had held onto them & getting them back if at all possible would have been a blessing to their owner IMHO. Just my opinion, at least if you bundled them all up in a box and gave them to the facility to give back to their owner, at least you could say that you tried to give them back!
Good question. I would rather give all that kind of stuff back to the office, as they fetch very little money at the flea market, and often cost me to dispose of afterwards. But the facility management is very picky about what we give them, and they ask only for photos, important paperwork (such as court documents or anything with social security numbers), passports, birth certificates, etc. It's kind of understandable, as they don't want to get saddled with a lot of items that they then need to store and handle. The last locker I bought, I separated all this stuff, which fit in one box, and brought it to the office, but they refused to take it. I was like "Really? There are a lot of photos from the lady's youth and college years" but they wouldn't budge. If we start adding baby shoes and blankets and that kind of stuff, the management may be more likely to refuse it.
I think the circumstances would be different if the owner was in contact with the office and requested those types of items, in which case the management would let me know. That does happen sometimes, but it's not all that common.
Believe it or not, the majority of the time (vast majority, from what I've been told), the owner never picks up the box of personal stuff, and it winds up getting disposed of a month or two later.
@@LockerNuts , thanks for the reply Jack! Usually a mom saves a lock of hair from their baby's first hair cut, so being a mom I kind of freaked when I saw you tossing them out! I know in 50 years no one will remember whose hair it is, but I know that at least while I'm alive, it would be cherished by me! LOL But on the other hand, I'd never put my most cherished items in a storage unit!
We did get a unit with owned previously by a semi famous actress and it had all her banking info with her social security and credit card info on it! I tried to give it all back to the office and they told me that they had no current contact info for her. If I were a shady individual I could have had a field day but I didn't even feel comfortable throwing it in the garbage and getting into the wrong hands, so it was all burned in our fire pit! I just wondered how and why you dealt with items that were more keepsakes than personal info, thanks for letting me know! 👍
I would love to see a sold video. I realize that you won't remember a lot of the prices, but it would be nice to see how much total profit you make on a locker.
Also, did you happen to list the saw horses on marketplace.
I was wondering the same thing about the personal items that were someone’s keepsakes, so I’m really glad Jack that you explained it. It makes sense now 😁. Hello from Canada 🇨🇦
I would be interested in Ll the baby shoes and the moble and clothes and Comforter
Chinese camphor wood trunks are worth quite a bit of money.
This was a good video. I enjoyed it. That trunk is gorgeous and looks in really good shape. That growing system is awesome too. Anyways I love yuns!stay safe and healthy.❤️😘💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
You are an expert packer!!!
I have a 250 yr old trunk that contains almost the exact same things.
LOL, that's funny.
Should have tried to return the hair. I think they saved it as a sentimental item.
I think you are right about the chest!!!!
Punching bag is 50 they are 200 or more new people this kind of stuff they love boxing I would put on Facebook market place
Great finds and learned alot!
I'd maybe auction the Asian lock it maybe worth more than trunk
Buying storage units makes you a hard MF'er. As I watch you toss their childhood in the trash, couldn't help but cringe. I get it. If they really cared they would have found a way to pay...but man that was hard seeing some of that stuff go in the trash. You did a great job turning back in some stuff, so no judgement. I want to get into this business, and it is very informative to see that I need to make some hard choices...I can't return everything. That chest was hard to watch.
Hi Jack!!! See you guys tonight!!
It should be fun!
Hello Jack great video the trunk is beautiful well worth 100 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I think so too. But surprisingly, no one took it for $50 on Facebook marketplace, and so I wound up bringing it to Stockton and sold it for $30.
@LockerNuts Well, at least someone bought it, and you got 30 instead of the 20 you thought. The stove and ssw horses. Might do better in your local market place..
Jack, would you consider making a sold video, so we can see what sells best in your area vs what we wo
would
Good afternoon Locker Nuts... good to see you again ❤🥜❤️🥜❤️🥜
You too!!
I have those Mickey Mouse ears! Probably like millions of others!😂 Lovely trunk - I do hope you sell it for a reasonable price, because they are not cheap to buy retail! A surprisingly nice locker! Look forward to seeing the next episode!
With the rising cost of food these days you might be surprised at how much/how likely you are to sell that hydroponic set up. Good luck!
Good point!
Can’t wait to see what’s inside
You have got to be the hardest working man on RUclips
Thanks but I just play hard-working on television. LOL, just kidding. I appreciate the compliment!
Inertek the company from office space 😂😂
Fun, fun, fun!!!
50 dollars each grow light.. easy..
I love your Videos
Thanks so much!
Checked out storage auction in my area but damn what nasty looking units can’t believe people pay to store that stuff
good to see you jack
You too!
After losing both of my parents, I would say give back the hair. I think it is way more personal than pictures.
I love the flea market videos, especially D’anza. Can’t wait to see it!
Coming soon!
Looks like you uncovered a 'weed' factory 😂
Love your videos ty again for the upload
My pleasure!
?! How big was the grow setup?? 😳
Heat lamps
I will give you the $200 for all the grow equipment.
What’s cool temps in June in San Francisco
If I need a expert on growth stuff i'd ask storage Scott Maybe he can help you find a buyer
10 pfennig is from Germany (Deutschland)
Avoiding big stuff and still big stuff lol
you ended the video saying "sweaty old locker nuts" that made me laugh
LOL, I didn't realize when I filmed it, but now that you pointed it out, it is hilarious.
Jack be really careful with that old word. And then you had to say from the 70’s. Thanks Jack, just what I wanted to hear, I’m old. 😮
Me too. We can just add a "g" before it, to make it feel better. We're gold now.
I saw you on Part Time Pickers video. I thought I recognized the area he was talking about from your videos. Did you take the trunk to DeAnza?
No, the trunk is too large to go to De Anza. Since we only bring the van, I have to be selective as to what makes the cut. If it was a couple or few hundred dollars, I would, but I think we'd have been lucky to get the $100 there.
Bet I know what they were growing. Naughty naughty
Could be vegetables.... but naw.
Did you ever get a replacement key?
Yes, off Amazon. It was only about $8
A growing weed operation. from the looks of it
😎👍
This was aiight
🥰🥰
👏👏👍🏻👍🏻😍❣
I think it is horrible that the renter of that unit left the baby stuff behind. Shame on them
It happens often. But I'd bet it was their stuff from childhood, so it's kinda their own doing. I feel much worse when a parent leaves behind their kids' photos... that sucks for the children.
nice video
Thanks
👍💖
Sell it as hydro set up don't take it to the markets
It’s weird because I watch a few storage unit buyers and you guys have had so so units lately.
I don’t think it’s weird, it’s just part of the business. A few good and lots of not so good.
✌️❤️🔥🔥🔥😎🤑🤑🤑
Do you think maybe someone was growing dope.
