I think this has to be the chillest tutorial in youtube ever. Doesn't even feel like a tutorial, feels like watching a friend demonstrate something to you y'know that feel? Love this so much.
This comment isnt necessarily necessary but uhm Man im just getting into pixel art to mod a game and so many tutorials are dry AF or really hipster. This was refreshing.
This is nice thank you! Do you have a video explaining more specific how to choose the color for the shade/highlight? Im trying to learn digital art and the way color work on computer just doesnt come natural to me.
this is such a smooth tutorial, demonstrative and commentating every single detail and the reason for doing so, i hate long tutorials, even 11 minutes seems exhausting cuz most people drag it out and it gets too dull, but i didn't get that sense from this video, was focused and taking in all the info, very informative, not cheesing it with memes, stuff that isn't necessarily necessary *wink wink*, well done good sir.
What are you pressing so you can change back and forth between the previously used colors and even erase without having to pick the color from scratch? I don't know how to select the exact previously used color, therefore I can't reuse a color to make shadows.
I'm just pressing the brush button, then the eraser button! Sometimes the eyedropper button! Hover over the tools on the side to see what keys you have them binded to.

I try to keep tutorials fun, instead of a stream of bland information. So so so glad you enjoyed it that much
Just send a message to a friend about how chill and cool this tutorial is. Getting some Bob Ross vibes
I DO want to turn this into this!!
Love this! The word you were looking for when blending the dark and light with spacing is "Dithering"
Thank, glad you enjoyed man! I mentioned Dithering toward the end I believe! :)
Ok
Lol, I just realized, that's why there's a dithering tool in the pixel art program i use, I was so confused by that tool for a while
This was honestly so nice to sit and watch AND I learned something. Thank you!
thanks i'm just getting into pixel art basics and fundamental so I think this helped out a lot.
this is actually good content.
I'm bookmarking this so I can watch it after I get off work.

If you're unmotivated then take a break and clear your mind! Watch something you enjoy and come back later! Breaks are important
