Thoughtful remarks about a worthy film, thanks. Lede actress Patricia Haines was the first wife of Michael Caine. She had intelligence and presence, and unorthodox sex appeal, too. You'll find her in two 1960s episodes of TV's The Avengers. Haines began as a stage actress (in which capacity she met Caine), but her screen career never panned out. Cancer took her at an early age. I wish she had had time to do more.

Great review. I’ll never understand why some people are biased against black and white films, to the point of saying they won’t even watch one. I think color can be great in movies (SHOWA Godzilla films were some of the most colorful movies I was first exposed to as a child) but black and white film can add an almost dreamlike quality. If you think about it, black and white filmmakers are telling their story using only light and shadow. How cool is that?
I recall seeing this on a local tv channel many years ago. It always stuck with me. Rewatched in 2020 … loved it right until the ending. Not sure what they were going for, but I reran that bit, as I thought perhaps I’d misunderstood something. It’s got a Quaternass vibe, but darker and mod. Carson was on every UK genre tv show from 1960 to 1980. Huge fan of yours. I never miss a review.
Your reviews are always well thought out and fair. You point out the things a movie does well even if overall you don’t particularly care for the film and the shortcomings of a movie that you do like. You have led me to view a number of movies differently than I did initially.

I really like this film, watched it many times over the years. Fun Fact. the husband in the married couple is played by Warren Mitchell who starred in the BBC sitcom Till Death Us Do Part, that was the inspiration behind Archie Bunker. I find the side characters really good. They bring a certain believability to the plot.

There is (or at least has been, recently) a version of this film WITHOUT the (unneeded) title song. Gets the film off to a better star, if ya asks me ;-) Also nice to see a strong female lead character/very ably acted, so intricately involved with the goings-on. At least I thought so.
I watched a video on another channel in which the creator watches The Twilight Zone for the first time, so he says. He talks about how his generation might not be able to relate, because it’s in black and white. Personally, I can’t relate to the idea of never having seen The Twilight Zone. Do some people really have that much trouble understanding content if it’s not in color? That’s wacky. But I thought you might find it funny - I sent him a link to your channel.
I don't know if that's true or not, maybe they're just trying to make fun of "boomers". Black and white films continue to be made to this day, with some of them becoming very popular, even among newer generations (think of The Lighthouse for example). What I have noticed (and it annoys me) is that a lot of people feel the necessity to defend the colorization of old pictures and movies by claiming it makes it easier for the younger generations to "understand". I think it's more of an insult to younger people than anything else, but whatever, the people who do those reaction videos are pressured to say things about what they see in order to make the video appealing to their audience.

It's been a long, long time since I've seen it. I honestly don't remember the ending; and as you described it I don't like it either. It's possible I didn't actually see the ending? I think that's a good assessment of this movie - it's lower budget but has a lot of good points to recommend it. The funny thing for me about this movie is that I saw it once on late-night TV and then spent literally years trying to remember what it was. Then the mystery was solved a while ago when I saw an upload on YT and the ending was immediately familiar to me.
Well done! I thought the interview of the parents was some light comic relief, but then the father pulls out the Bikini Girl magazine from under the couch cushion and I laughed really hard. The Bikini Girl editor is featured in A Clockwork Orange with the same creepy style of speech. Cheers.

If you like this film and want to get Hammered.Director John Gilling followed this up with a creepy Cornish couple, The Reptile and Plague of the Zombies(also with John Carson)1966.Shot back to back. I like John Saxon.His filmography is diverse.Worked with Marlon Brando,Clint Eastwood,Bruce Lee,Freddy Krueger, Mario Bava,David Cronenberg,Dario Argento,Wes Craven.Carmine was one cool cat. I really felt for Patricia Haines character.Good Aubrey Morris cameo.Playing a slimy sleaze.Warren Mitchell seems to think he is in a Peter Sellers movie. I agree with you that this is an above average and enjoyable movie. What British sci-fi movies lacked in terms of special effects they more than made up for with interesting characters and engaging dialogue. Thank you for directing some attention to the film and for providing more in a 15 minute review that many others do in much longer presentations. I've never once checked to see how much longer one of your review shows had to go. Can't say that for many others.
I've always liked John Saxon. So unique looking, a good actor and a killer name! The creepy guy is a huge character actor. I believe he's been in a ton of stuff. I love spoilers by the way. I'd like your complete thoughts on a movie and value the telling of the story more than any conclusion. Most people want to be surprised by the end of course. As long as there's a warning I'm sure it will be fine.

I revisited THE NIGHT CALLER , just finished rewatching it a few minutes ago; thank you for the review, as I really enjoyed this. I'd initially seen this on local Saturday afternoon television in the early Seventies, and liked it, as it deftly manages the "less is more" school of British low-budget SF cinema; some films give us we'll shot and acted talkiness, while at the other end, we get ISLAND OF TERROR-type tripe. Thanks for recommending this! I stopped your video at the spoiler alert and watched the film last night. It definitely had a more artistic look than the typical film of this type. Good composition on many shots. Plus odd little touches, like the sculpture in the Orion Enterprise office. I think they must have been going for some sort of symbolism, but I'm not sure what it would have been. I thought it was Rodin's 'The Slave' but I looked it up when the movie ended and it is similar, but not the same. Agree with you about the ending. It seemed like they were mostly concerned with explaining why the space visitor came here. Perhaps there was a scene expressing concern for the fate of the young women that got cut for cost reasons or something?
Good review JW. Sounds good. Not sure if I'll wait until my Halloween marathon to watch it, but I will get to it. As for the Emma you mentioned, I like it better than some of the other versions. Some characters were very well done, and it's pretty faithful to the book. So I think you and your mom should enjoy it. Happy Easter.
There were some other notable British Sci Fi B movies in the 60s, there was Invasion staring Edward Judd, a very atmospheric low budget Sci Fi film, then there was The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961) starring Edward Judd again, Quatermass and the Pit (1967) starring Andrew Keir

Did you know (I bet you did) that Albert Hague, the composer of the theme song, also did the music for the Grinch? Also, I was wondering about the term Outer Space. It seems the 'outer' part fell away around 1980, most likely due to Star Trek. 'Space' just says it all. Have a great week, see you next time.
SPOILER: I was also very dissatisfied with the ending of this film. This Night Caller creature murdered four people and abducted who knows how many young women, (54?) And it's just allowed to get away with it?!? Very unpleasant. And then John Saxon's character almost seems to express some strange sort of admiration for it? Vile to think of women being used as if they're some sort of incubators for offspring instead of human beings in thier own right.
Would you consider reviewing Angel Heart? Imho is one of the best horror movies yet so underrated. It's a bit complex and would be curious to see what your take would be like. Thanks.
I liked this one as well, except like you said the ending which was too abrupt and unconvincing. However, the black and white photography was very moody and the film had several atmospheric and tense scenes. Not sure about John Saxon's accent which had some minor British in it, but it was not too distracting. And I loved recognising a whole bunch of British character actors that I've seen in TV shows like The Saint and Fawlty Towers, plus that voice that I've heard many times before in James Bond films. Thanks for the video, love them as always!
The whole "Mars needs women" bit is a pretty tired plot but it was 1965 so maybe they could get away with it. The ending you describe sounds very weak. Where's the action in that? Better to have had Saxon on the spaceship screwing up the controls so that it crash lands into a ball of fire. But with the twenty women not on board. Never heard of this film. From your description and the scenes shown here, it sounds like it could have been an Outer Limits episode. The stark angles and lighting here are very similar to the staging of many OL episodes. Have you considered reviewing some episodes of that classic TV series? I would be interested in hearing your reactions.
Yes, it definitely has some stylistic similarities to The Outer Limits. I've watched some episodes of that show in the past. If I ever were to finish it, I might do a video on it.
I’ve heard of “Night Caller” for years, and while I’m a big fan of British science fiction films, something told me I should avoid it. So, now I’ve finally seen it, and…well…it’s not like you didn’t warn us, especially about that cockamamie ending. (“Tally ho, Mr. Medra! Have a splendid time with our women!”) In my humble opinion, however, while it starts promisingly, I lost it (or it lost me) about the time “Bikini Girl” magazine made its appearance. Things got more absurd from there, though I’d not imagined just how absurdly absurd it would get at the end. That said, a little of the special talent the English have for this genre is nevertheless occasionally evident, and I agree with many of your observations about the acting and initial mood; the acting in particular. British thespians are mostly classically trained and take their art seriously. Thoroughgoing professionalism is displayed in front of the camera regardless how they may have felt about what they were saying. That’s admirable, especially in this movie. But It makes me wonder how much better the film might have been with the same cast and crew but a much better script. Pursuant to that notion, I’m going to recommend a far superior British SF film, which is much in the same vein. That film is 1963’s “Unearthly Stranger”. It is consistently rated as one of the finest British B-movies of the era. I’ll be most interested in your reaction to it if you watch it. While I don’t see it available on RUclips, it can be viewed on Internet Archive in HD quality at archive.org/details/unearthly.-stranger.-1963.1080p-esp
Hey Geo thanks for the link. Unearthly Stranger is one of those movies I must have missed on the Don't Watch Alone double features shown late on Friday nights in 60s/70s Britain. I was tempted to buy the bluray release by Network media but sadly they have gone into administration so this may be my only way to see it. Network are a much missed studio who made very good special editions of, mostly British, older movies and TV series. A large catalogue now sitting in a warehouse I fear.

Really enjoyed this review (which isn't unusual!). I'm glad to see this film get some decent attention and smart observant commentary. It' gets nicely quirky at times, which kept me off balance, especially with the presence of un-stereotypical leads and those very singular side characters who pop in and out of the story, as you point out. The whole thing has an odd tone that is well-suited to the story, a tone that manifests itself through the, at times, drawn-out pacing and often quietly novel photography and intense, studied close-ups, The story also is novel, as it's structure and flow FEELS like a novel, upon which, in fact, it is based, and that kind of feel isn't all that common Then there is, as you point out, that "claw". Couldn't they have allotted more than a half-quid to make suck a key prop? Why would you cheap out on something like that??1 If i'd been the director and saw what the prop chaps had come up with I wouldn't have hesitated a second to pay for a better one myself (but of course, not having been there it's easy to say that from an armchair/decades later viewing: Who knows what the circumstances were on the day and on the shooting schedule when the scenes with that claw were shot? I'd like to think that the director was up against the wall with zero options to fix it.) Well....that ending. I think you expressed it pretty perfectly. The sheer abruptness of those last moments is so cold and hopeless. But, then again, it adds a layer of horror and frustration that may say a lot about how an encounter with an alien entity may actually wind up being. It's one of those things, though, that may sound good on paper, but not quite work as theater. Thanks again for covering this film. I'm glad that you gave consideration to some viewer who may've suggested it.
✨⚪️✨( potential spoilers) I’ve seen this film twice all the way through and then some of it again a third time and it’s strange, the first time I saw it on TV I had no idea where it was going, it started off like a quirky sci-fi b film and then became a bit like a campy monster movie and after that a slightly sleazy hammer film with some funny moments and then a surprisingly violent horror film ending with a nightmare version of E.T but in place of a glowing finger and a hug we hear “ we on our planet have got a horrible disease so we’ll be abducting these young girls to breed with” and the humans say “ Ok, hope you’re successful, have a great flight, cheerio👋🏻” lol. The character death you’re talking about was surprisingly shocking, after seeing so many of these types of films I found myself fully expecting the victim to get up, to be ok. The cast was very good and John Carson did stand out from the beginning when he entered doing that typical old school British military officer thing of walking around everywhere with hands behind back standing upright and proper lol, his character was likeable when the military in these sorts of films do tend to be portrayed as buzzkills. I don’t think I’ve ever used the term buzzkill before, I should’ve held onto it for a film with a giant bee :/ The 1972 version of Emma played on TV here some years ago and I watched it, it’s been over ten years so I’ll probably watch it again before your review. I liked the funny married couple in Night Caller, they sound very similar to my aunt and uncle who are English, well my aunt is Irish but has an English accent because she’s lived there since she was a teen. I like a lot of the creative choices made by John Gilling, i like some of the characters and the actors cast. I guess I enjoyed the film enough to see it twice and it’s definitely memorable and stands out among similar films of the genre and period. I do know for a fact that it’s a very good film because you like it and there’s very few opinions i respect more than yours as far as film goes, as far as film goes there’s probably nobody i trust more to be fair lol. Off topic, i happened to scan some reactions for Godzilla X Kong and saw someone post something about a small Godzilla Easter egg that’s tough to spot and has nothing to do with the films plot, if the Easter Egg is even actually there, if it is there and you don’t see it I’ll let you know what it is and where to look in a comment for your review of the film in a few months, unless you want to know now?. I've heard some mixed reactions to Godzilla x Kong, but the majority of viewers coming back to my video so far are reporting that they had a good time, and I'm relieved to hear it. I probably will continue to wait to see it, though, and I'm fine with that. Hmm, I haven't heard anything about a Godzilla Easter egg. I'm tempted to ask, but maybe you should wait and see if I pick it out myself whenever I watch the movie a few months from now. :)
Yes, I've seen this movie. The bad reviews might be because of the ending. It does tend to make people feel flat. I wonder if folks in the UK are kinder with their critiques? On the opposite site they are intelligent characters accepting what they can't do anything about. An alternate ending may have been contrived to ridiculous.

Dear `Jerome` Have you heard of a film titled `Malpertius`? It has two versions, one from 1972, the other from 1973. Film starred Orson Welles and UK actress, Susan Hampshire. It was a co, Dutch, Belgian, France production. Pretty `way-out` but, in my view, compelling!

Seen it years ago and I too was (WTF) Disappointed by it. Strange, that the BBFC says the original was 83mins 50 secs and the Video release = 158 Mins 2 secs ?!?!
I went off immediately and watched it. Nope. Flaccid and disjointed. The scenes were like poorly done set pieces without real connection between characters or much authentic emotional involvement. It was a lockstep to nowhere, especially since they telegraphed the kidnap-in-order-to-breed idea with “Bikini Girl”. Somewhere between majorly inept and execrable.

I recommend The Earth D ies Screaming 1962,directed by Terence Fisher.Just over an hour,not a minute wasted.
For a while they were showing "The Earth Dies Screaming" quite often on the Fox Movie Channel. That's where I watched it a while back.

What I have noticed (and it annoys me) is that a lot of people feel the necessity to defend the colorization of old pictures and movies by claiming it makes it easier for the younger generations to "understand". I think it's more of an insult to younger people than anything else, but whatever, the people who do those reaction videos are pressured to say things about what they see in order to make the video appealing to their audience.

I remember this movie . . . I think I saw it under the Blood Beast title? Quirky is a good way to describe it, as I recall. It's been a long, long time since I've seen it. I honestly don't remember the ending; and as you described it I don't like it either. It's possible I didn't actually see the ending? I'll have to give it another look.

I think that's a good assessment of this movie - it's lower budget but has a lot of good points to recommend it.
The funny thing for me about this movie is that I saw it once on late-night TV and then spent literally years trying to remember what it was. Then the mystery was solved a while ago when I saw an upload on YT and the ending was immediately familiar to me.

Well done! I thought the interview of the parents was some light comic relief, but then the father pulls out the Bikini Girl magazine from under the couch cushion and I laughed really hard. The Bikini Girl editor is featured in A Clockwork Orange with the same creepy style of speech. Cheers.

I agree with you that this is an above average and enjoyable movie. What British sci-fi movies lacked in terms of special effects they more than made up for with interesting characters and engaging dialogue. Thank you for directing some attention to the film and for providing more in a 15 minute review that many others do in much longer presentations. I've never once checked to see how much longer one of your review shows had to go. Can't say that for many others.

I love spoilers by the way. I'd like your complete thoughts on a movie and value the telling of the story more than any conclusion. Most people want to be surprised by the end of course. As long as there's a warning I'm sure it will be fine.

I revisited THE NIGHT CALLER , just finished rewatching it a few minutes ago; thank you for the review, as I really enjoyed this.
I'd initially seen this on local Saturday afternoon television in the early Seventies, and liked it, as it deftly manages the "less is more" school of British low-budget SF cinema; some films give us we'll shot and acted talkiness, while at the other end, we get ISLAND OF TERROR-type tripe.
I recommend this.

Thanks for recommending this! I stopped your video at the spoiler alert and watched the film last night. It definitely had a more artistic look than the typical film of this type. Good composition on many shots. Plus odd little touches, like the sculpture in the Orion Enterprise office. I think they must have been going for some sort of symbolism, but I'm not sure what it would have been. I thought it was Rodin's 'The Slave' but I looked it up when the movie ended and it is similar, but not the same. Agree with you about the ending. It seemed like they were mostly concerned with explaining why the space visitor came here. Perhaps there was a scene expressing concern for the fate of the young women that got cut for cost reasons or something?

There were some other notable British Sci Fi B movies in the 60s, there was Invasion staring Edward Judd, a very atmospheric low budget Sci Fi film, then there was The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961) starring Edward Judd again, Quatermass and the Pit (1967) starring Andrew Keir
I've seen the last two, but I'm going to have to look up that first one.
Oh! Looks like I've already got Invasion on my recommendations list. Too bad it seems to be a rare film.

Did you know (I bet you did) that Albert Hague, the composer of the theme song, also did the music for the Grinch? Also, I was wondering about the term Outer Space. SPOILER: I was also very dissatisfied with the ending of this film. This Night Caller creature murdered four people and abducted who knows how many young women, (54?) And it's just allowed to get away with it?!? Very unpleasant. And then John Saxon's character almost seems to express some strange sort of admiration for it? Vile to think of women being used as if they're some sort of incubators for offspring instead of human beings in thier own right.
Would you consider reviewing Angel Heart? Imho is one of the best horror movies yet so underrated. It's a bit complex and would be curious to see what your take would be like. Thanks.
I liked this one as well, except like you said the ending which was too abrupt and unconvincing. However, the black and white photography was very moody and the film had several atmospheric and tense scenes. Not sure about John Saxon's accent which had some minor British in it, but it was not too distracting. And I loved recognising a whole bunch of British character actors that I've seen in TV shows like The Saint and Fawlty Towers, plus that voice that I've heard many times before in James Bond films. Thanks for the video, love them as always!
The whole "Mars needs women" bit is a pretty tired plot but it was 1965 so maybe they could get away with it. The ending you describe sounds very weak. Where's the action in that? Better to have had Saxon on the spaceship screwing up the controls so that it crash lands into a ball of fire. But with the twenty women not on board. Never heard of this film. From your description and the scenes shown here, it sounds like it could have been an Outer Limits episode. The stark angles and lighting here are very similar to the staging of many OL episodes. Have you considered reviewing some episodes of that classic TV series? I would be interested in hearing your reactions.
Yes, it definitely has some stylistic similarities to The Outer Limits. I've watched some episodes of that show in the past. If I ever were to finish it, I might do a video on it.
I’ve heard of “Night Caller” for years, and while I’m a big fan of British science fiction films, something told me I should avoid it. So, now I’ve finally seen it, and…well…it’s not like you didn’t warn us, especially about that cockamamie ending. (“Tally ho, Mr. Medra! Have a splendid time with our women!”) In my humble opinion, however, while it starts promisingly, I lost it (or it lost me) about the time “Bikini Girl” magazine made its appearance. Things got more absurd from there, though I’d not imagined just how absurdly absurd it would get at the end. That said, a little of the special talent the English have for this genre is nevertheless occasionally evident, and I agree with many of your observations about the acting and initial mood; the acting in particular. British thespians are mostly classically trained and take their art seriously. Thoroughgoing professionalism is displayed in front of the camera regardless how they may have felt about what they were saying. That’s admirable, especially in this movie. But It makes me wonder how much better the film might have been with the same cast and crew but a much better script. Pursuant to that notion, I’m going to recommend a far superior British SF film, which is much in the same vein. That film is 1963’s “Unearthly Stranger”. It is consistently rated as one of the finest British B-movies of the era. I’ll be most interested in your reaction to it if you watch it. While I don’t see it available on RUclips, it can be viewed on Internet Archive in HD quality at archive.org/details/unearthly.-stranger.-1963.1080p-esp
Hey Geo thanks for the link. Unearthly Stranger is one of those movies I must have missed on the Don't Watch Alone double features shown late on Friday nights in 60s/70s Britain. I was tempted to buy the bluray release by Network media but sadly they have gone into administration so this may be my only way to see it. Network are a much missed studio who made very good special editions of, mostly British, older movies and TV series. A large catalogue now sitting in a warehouse I fear.
I made the mistake of watching this in a colourised version.
Avoid the American print,which features a rubbish song rather than the original groovy instrumental!

Really enjoyed this review (which isn't unusual!). I'm glad to see this film get some decent attention and smart observant commentary. It' gets nicely quirky at times, which kept me off balance, especially with the presence of un-stereotypical leads and those very singular side characters who pop in and out of the story, as you point out. The whole thing has an odd tone that is well-suited to the story, a tone that manifests itself through the, at times, drawn-out pacing and often quietly novel photography and intense, studied close-ups, The story also is novel, as it's structure and flow FEELS like a novel, upon which, in fact, it is based, and that kind of feel isn't all that common
Then there is, as you point out, that "claw". Couldn't they have allotted more than a half-quid to make suck a key prop? Why would you cheap out on something like that??1 If i'd been the director and saw what the prop chaps had come up with I wouldn't have hesitated a second to pay for a better one myself (but of course, not having been there it's easy to say that from an armchair/decades later viewing: Who knows what the circumstances were on the day and on the shooting schedule when the scenes with that claw were shot? I'd like to think that the director was up against the wall with zero options to fix it.)
Well....that ending. I think you expressed it pretty perfectly. The sheer abruptness of those last moments is so cold and hopeless. But, then again, it adds a layer of horror and frustration that may say a lot about how an encounter with an alien entity may actually wind up being. It's one of those things, though, that may sound good on paper, but not quite work as theater.

✨⚪️✨( potential spoilers) I’ve seen this film twice all the way through and then some of it again a third time and it’s strange, the first time I saw it on TV I had no idea where it was going, it started off like a quirky sci-fi b film and then became a bit like a campy monster movie and after that a slightly sleazy hammer film with some funny moments and then a surprisingly violent horror film ending with a nightmare version of E.T but in place of a glowing finger and a hug we hear “ we on our planet have got a horrible disease so we’ll be abducting these young girls to breed with” and the humans say “ Ok, hope you’re successful, have a great flight, cheerio👋🏻” lol. The character death you’re talking about was surprisingly shocking, after seeing so many of these types of films I found myself fully expecting the victim to get up, to be ok. The cast was very good and John Carson did stand out from the beginning when he entered doing that typical old school British military officer thing of walking around everywhere with hands behind back standing upright and proper lol, his character was likeable when the military in these sorts of films do tend to be portrayed as buzzkills. I don’t think I’ve ever used the term buzzkill before, I should’ve held onto it for a film with a giant bee :/ The 1972 version of Emma played on TV here some years ago and I watched it, it’s been over ten years so I’ll probably watch it again before your review. I liked the funny married couple in Night Caller, they sound very similar to my aunt and uncle who are English, well my aunt is Irish but has an English accent because she’s lived there since she was a teen. I like a lot of the creative choices made by John Gilling, i like some of the characters and the actors cast. I guess I enjoyed the film enough to see it twice and it’s definitely memorable and stands out among similar films of the genre and period. I do know for a fact that it’s a very good film because you like it and there’s very few opinions i respect more than yours as far as film goes, as far as film goes there’s probably nobody i trust more to be fair lol.
Off topic, i happened to scan some reactions for Godzilla X Kong and saw someone post something about a small Godzilla Easter egg that’s tough to spot and has nothing to do with the films plot, if the Easter Egg is even actually there, if it is there and you don’t see it I’ll let you know what it is and where to look in a comment for your review of the film in a few months, unless you want to know now?. I won’t see the film for a few months myself. 🤷🏻♂️

I've heard some mixed reactions to Godzilla x Kong, but the majority of viewers coming back to my video so far are reporting that they had a good time, and I'm relieved to hear it. I probably will continue to wait to see it, though, and I'm fine with that. Hmm, I haven't heard anything about a Godzilla Easter egg. I'm tempted to ask, but maybe you should wait and see if I pick it out myself whenever I watch the movie a few months from now. :)

Yes, I've seen this movie. The bad reviews might be because of the ending. It does tend to make people feel flat. I wonder if folks in the UK are kinder with their critiques? On the opposite site they are intelligent characters accepting what they can't do anything about. An alternate ending may have been contrived to ridiculous.

Dear `Jerome` Have you heard of a film titled `Malpertius`? It has two versions, one from 1972, the other from 1973. Film starred Orson Welles and UK actress, Susan Hampshire. It was a co, Dutch, Belgian, France production. Pretty `way-out` but, in my view, compelling!

I went off immediately and watched it. Nope. Flaccid and disjointed. The scenes were like poorly done set pieces without real connection between characters or much authentic emotional involvement. It was a lockstep to nowhere, especially since they telegraphed the kidnap-in-order-to-breed idea with “Bikini Girl”. Somewhere between majorly inept and execrable.
