Tommy really embraces his more goofy side in this, as well as in his rendition of Cotton Eye Joe he released about the same time. The honoured artist, called Merlin in the movie, and the film rolling in the background is from the movie Kingsmen, where the figure Merlin sings Country Roads in the pivotal scene that Tommy edited in here. Merlin is standing singing on a landmine and selfsacrifies so his friends get away. So a high emotional factor in another way than you expected.
@@rjjsreactions-rk7zh Carina explained about Merlin. The song is actually from Kingsman 2. The two movies are probablly in my top 5 favourite movies. Spy Movies - kind of lighter take on James Bond. A lot of spoofing in them. Elton John also has a cameo in K2. BTW - if you watch a lot of Tommy J videos you get to know what his hobbies and favourite things are.
Tommy did get some slight backlash for using the stereotypical yeehaw in this video (someone in the comments if I remember correctly). He used that in his Cotton Eye Joe video where he hushed himself for using it again. 🤠🤘

Thank you so much! He's always a treat to listen to. 🙂
Another great reaction to Tommy, thanks. Folk/Country is not my favourite but after it gets Tommified I love it. Particularly love the banjo❤
Thank you! Yes, Tommified versions are the best. 🙂
