For flat round arrangements I usually trim the leaves to get good shape. But for other type arrangements I may not. Please check out my other flower arrangement video where I used the stem n leaves for arrangement.

Very pretty colors and placement of flowers. Be sure to cut flowers at an angle for full benefit of absorption of water.

Why in the world would you cut the leaves? Pull them out, trim the stem and reinsert in a new stem hole.
