  • In this video, I give a little scouting report on former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Brian Branch and talk about how good he's been for the NFL's Detroit Lions already. He was a draft steal for them in the second round, but I don't know if anybody expected what we're getting. The fact that the Lions traded up with the Packers to steal him is hilarious.
Alabama safety Brian Branch is versatile and has a high football IQ. He's been making plays already. Branch hails from the University of Alabama football team (coached by Nick Saban), which has produced a lot of talent. Some examples of this are Texans DE Will Anderson Jr., Eagles WR DeVonta Smith, Titans RB Derrick Henry, Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II, Browns WR Amari Cooper, Jets DT Quinnen Williams, Steelers S Minkah Fitzpatrick, and more players, along with Lions WR Jameson Williams.

Lions defense in general seems like it will be a good unit this year

The signing of UDFA Brandon Joseph out of ND has went under the radar with the drafting of Branch and multiple free agent signings, but he might actually mess around and make the roster.

I can't get the Marshall game out of my head with Joseph and is probably the number 1 reason he went undrafted. He got cooked time and again. He was excellent for Northwestern though

@@florida1289 yeah, if he would have maintained his Northwestern numbers at ND, he would have been drafted.
