Inner tie rod tool, use and review - Clamp on type

  • Save money and work with todays Tool Tuesda. It's shows how to use the performance tie rod removal tool. This tool is a clamp on style that's made a lot like an exhaust clamp. It allows you to remove and install INNER TIE RODS without spending a lot on a larger more complex kit.
    I'll use it here on a 2009 (8 generation) Honda civic. I'll also be posting a separate video of the "how to" tips on how to work around some normal problems that occur when you are replacing those tie rods.

    thank you man! i'm surprised it recommended me this video considering the low views but thats great. i didn't know there was a lock washer behind it and thats why it wasnt working. using the clamp word in title helped me find the video

    Im an AutoMechanic in Mexico and since the roads here are very bad potholes everywhere so Im changing suspention parts often I saw this video and I decided to order one from E-bay Im gonna give this a try...tools here are very expensive this inner tie rod removing tool cost 350.00 pesos its like 15.00USA dollars...350 pesos is alot to spend here I hope the material is good and Hope it lasts me a long time.

    i agree about 30ft lbs approx feels tight enough and gripped my tie rod inner perfectly to get it tight

    This looks ideal for tie rods that don't have flats or are totally round and don't have anything to grab onto. Is it still holding up?

      Yes, could be quite helpful for that. I've only used it a couple times but it's doing well.

      even if its got grooves sometimes there aint much space, this might help and make it easy and not get knuckles busted.
