Not a bad day for a late start. Need to get you out on Priest and up the rivers (East and West Fork Stones River) for some of the big'uns that migrate there once they start to drop the water level. I think you would enjoy the 2-3 lb ones that migrate there end Oct., early Nov. Also wanted to thank ya for throwing them back when you have some in the freezer. A lot of people do not do that and wish they did.
For some reason it never crosses some peoples mind to catch and release crappie and I’ve never understood that. I love to eat them, but I love catching them more and I want there to be a healthy population for years to come. Thanks for watching!
Day 27 since my neck surgery, Sorry you didn't make the cut down in Florida, but you said you did get a check. Man I love watching you chase these Crappie. Keep pumping out the videos my friend. Come on people hit that Like and Subscribe button lets Get this man 25k subs by Christmas. Thanks for all you do brother,
Thanks for the video, I try to get on the lake at least one day a week. So far all my brush plies are still holding crappies and the bite is still tough even on live minnows, this past weekend I noticed the ones that I did catch were actually swallowing the bait instead of just lipping it.
Loved the video. Your videos are always full of useful info and will hold my attention.. We’re headed up to Lake Douglas in February. Are the colors in this video in line with what they like there? Our plans or to look for structure in 10 to 20ft of water..Thank you….
I like yourself and also a Lowrance man and I was noticing in this video you had what I refer to as a live foot for your active target and I was wondering if you could elaborate on which set up you have?
Good video. Seems on the lakes I fish during drawdown the crappie are real tight on the cover. Once drawdown is complete they move up shallow almost like spring. Keeping up with them can be the hardest part.
Another great video. Enjoy your insight bro. Was good to see you out there. Guess you thought i was crazy saying that I had cussed you all day 😂. Just meant you make it look easy bro.
Brandon, I’m familiar with all the plastics you use while crappie fishing…the crappie magnet, trout magnet, itty bitty slab Hunt’R etc…..if you could only choose ONE, what’s your go to crappie plastic??
Have you ever crappie fished on chickamauga? I was up there this past weekend Bass fishing and noticed some nice schools of crappie on my downscan and live scope.
No real drawdowns where Im from in PA and our creel limit on most lakes if 50 with no size limit. Not responsible for the fisheries if you ask me. My home lake would be toast if anyone knew the kind of crappies that are actually in there...Nice video as usual!
I think as technology continues to evolve it’s important for state agencies to keep a close eye on fish creel limits and size limits. I agree with you 50 is too many. Thanks for watching!
@BrandonLesterFishing Agreed. If 4 guys go out they can bring home 200 a day. Seems excessive. I love forward facing sonar as a tool but eventually the states need match up regulations with modern tech or we will have a problem.
Couple reasons. Number one the split shot makes it easier to see on Active Target. Secondly, I’m trying to keep the profile down as small as possible. The trout magnet is a 1” bait. If I used a 1/8th ounce head with a trout magnet it would look very unnatural. Hope that helps explain it and thanks for watching!
@@greeneyesfromohio4103 bank fishing. 4crappie and 7 bluegill Not bad considering I am in Maryland fishing creeks off the Potomac. Not exactly prime crappie fishing but over there last 2 years I have gotten 3 good ones over 1.5 lbs so I can’t complain. I would love to get out on a lake with some real crappie fishing
I liked hearing that drag sound out of your Daiwa reel! So smooth..

We don’t need any extra pressure on Priest, ha
Another great one! That mermaid color is 🔥!
Great video ! As always good on the water footage of the electronics and tackle . Thanks Brandon !

I agree. Thanks for watching!
How big are your local lakes? Smaller or pretty large?
@@greeneyesfromohio4103 The one I fish most is 10000 surface acres. Have a few others that are a little smaller.
Another great video!!!!
Thanks!
Best crappie videos on RUclips! Always pick up something from watching. Keep’em coming!
Thanks man!
Thanks for sharing

Saw you at the lake yesterday
What lake was it?
Have you ever crappie fished on chickamauga? I was up there this past weekend Bass fishing and noticed some nice schools of crappie on my downscan and live scope.
Yes I have. Actually went to college at UTC and used to crappie fish on Chick quite a bit. It’s a good crappie lake!
Thanks for another good video! Did you get to finish your cheeseburger?
Absolutely!😂😂 thanks for watching!
Great video, what lake you are fishing!
I don’t usually tell what lakes I’m fishing, for obvious reasons. But this video and patterns apply all over the country. Thanks for watching!
you were at the leesburg event?
Yes I was
The waterfront gas station has the best breakfast sandwich try it out
Hi Brandon what lake are you fish
Looks like a cheeseburger in paradise 👍🏻
Yes sir! Thanks for watching
Are you dragging your split shot on bottom?
No I’m keeping it just above the fish. I don’t ever want my bait to go below a crappie. They are almost ALWAYS feeding up.

Your using a 1/64 oz jig head.. and above it a #7 split shot… why not just use a jig head that is the same weight of the 2 combined? Thanks!

I am going out crappie fishing when I am off today!!!
Good luck!
Any luck brother? Bank or boat?

No I’m using 5lb vicious panfish braid with 4lb vicious 100% flurocarbon leader.
Great video
