This song is in my top 5 songs of all time and when I heard Carrie was doing a cover, I didn't believe anyone else could reach the emotional depths that lay within these lyrics. While I still believe that Motley Crue's version is my favorite, I do love this version too. Amazing job Carrie!
While MC obviously owns this song, Carrie really did a good job adding substance to a cover version. Covers usually fall flat but this did the exact opposite!

Different isn't always bad. Her doing this song is her basically saying "hey Motley Crue, I like your song" Plus an artist does have to have permission to cover a song from the record company that owns it, so all you Crue fans should probably stop to think about that. The band themselves might actually like her take on it..
