My favorite is a tie between the bird house and the clothes with the pan. I do love birds though. I try to find them everytime I go to the thrift store also.
Hi Julie, I loved everything you flipped and redid. My mom passed away a few months ago and she and I loved to buy little birds at thrift stores and yard sales. We shared the love of Gold Finches long before we knew they were the NJ state bird and we both are from NJ. I just finished cleaning out my mom's house of 31 years and have many of her birds to now add to mine. I just moved into my own little home and it is very very tiny. I wanted to buy something for my new home that my mom would like and so last weekend I bought a pretty ceramic leaf (mom and I loved leaves too as I was her Fall baby) with a little ceramic bird sitting in the leaf. The bird is an antique white but the leaf is a funky green and I was thinking just yesterday I would love to repaint the leaf in a mix of burgundy and orange together. I am like you, I throw nothing away because I am not a wasteful person and you never know when you will need a tiny piece of wood. I am the same way with scraps of fabric. Being in a tiny little house u have to pass up curb side finds now to redo and watch my spending and I am trying my best for a clutter free home. Very difficult when your grandmother, mother and myself feel the need to bring everything home from other's curbs and refinish or paint. If all your projects on the video my favorite is the bird house. I love wooden bird houses or even ones from different materials. I found your video packed with inspiring ideas. Hi Julie, love the simplicity of adding a stained roof & pedestal to the painted & stamped birdhouse. Much like the simple transformation of the painted/cinnamon bird to the old finial.
I also liked what you did with the plastic tiered tray that I had seen you haul. Very creative and pretty. But I think my favorite today was the little bird on the cut off spindle. It was so simple and so sweet!
