Plant Community and Land Cover Mapping

There are several different types of "mini" surveys that are conducted concurrently during the general biological field survey. This video is on plant community and land cover mapping. I describe the purpose of the survey: to search for, observed, describe, document, map, and photograph the plant communities and land cover types that are within your project site. I go over field survey mapping methods such as walking your project site and IDing the existing plant communities; drawing polygons around the boundaries of the communities on your map; and taking detailed notes on each community and land cover type.
