Hi, can you give us an impression on what archived sites/documents look like from a search perspective?

Hello, thank you very much for your comment. Once content has been archived, it essentially becomes inaccessible to end-users and only administrators can search for the content via the available Purview & Compliance features, such as admin search. However, Microsoft's documentation states that the following is a temporary limitation whilst the feature is in preview: - "Currently, end user search results won't show any archived content". Additionally, further documentation states the following: - "End users aren't able to access or search for any content that has been archived." Finally, to complement the first statement: - "Admin-level search and Purview-based search will operate like normal. End-user search is not currently supported, but end-user search is on our roadmap." I hope this helps - Thanks.

    What does file level-Granularity mean?

Hello, thank you for your comment. In the context of this video (Microsoft 365 Backup & Archive), the term "file level granularity" essentially means that any activities relating to either the Backup or Archive service cannot be achieved on a per-file, per-folder, or otherwise individualistic basis. For example, where Archive is concerned, at the time of writing, you can only Archive a "complete" and "whole" SharePoint site, and not just a specific file or folder within the site. However, "file level granularity" is scheduled to be introduced to both services in the future. For example, with the Archive service, this is scheduled for 2025 as per... learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/archive/archive-faq?view=o365-worldwide#can-i-archive-at-the-site-level-and-file-level
