- I know the pack has been out for like 5 months ago, but I guess it's better late than never. Anyway, today I'm gonna be showcasing 10 features in Sims 4 High School Years that you might not know!

Ah the Sims, the only world where the Criminal Career is encouraged to youth. I absolutely love it.

I wish Jasper Prescott was an actual npc. I always love how there are lore-based ghost npcs from certain packs. Similarly to the ghost couple in Windenburg, the ghost dog found in the pet graveyard, and also Felix Psyded in Discover University. But I guess the sims team just really rushed this pack
I feel that they missed an opportunity with the Mill in Moonwood Mill. It’s mentioned quite a bunch, yet you can‘t even explore it, it’s just a prop. Oh and THERES ONLY 4 LOTS!!!! WITH ONLY 2 YOU CAN USE UNLESS YOU REPLACE THE OTHER TWO!!!
While the previous games had way more lots in just one world.
Heck, Newcrest has way more lots.
Plus, SO MANY PROP HOUSES THAT COULD’VE BEEN LOTS!!
I even made Mei Prescott have a son named Michael Jasper…
Is it just me or is the prom too short? I never have time for my sim to do anything romantic with their partner unless i ignore the prom objectives. It just seems too short and my Sim ends up doing anything for a few seconds.
I think theres a mod for that

I've been working on rebuilding the Auditorium, and I added the Party Place Lot Trait that's supposed to make it easier to complete event goals. I still have to playtest Prom using this build, so I don't know for sure if this will work, but I'm hoping that having that Lot Trait will make it easier to complete Prom objectives so that Simmers can have more time to do their own thing and craft their own Prom stories.
I can attest that the custodians don’t give any whoop about fire drills; they are the ones that usually have to turn them on/off
As a school custodian, I can confirm this. It’s our jobs to call the alarm companies during fire drills and put the school on test, then unlock one of the pull down stations with a key and set off the alarm switch. We also have to go to a master control panel box somewhere in the school and turn them off again.

Nice video! I’d love to add a few things.
1.The career day happens every other Thursday.
2.In the career day, if you play another household and have an adult who is high in their career, they could show up at the career day. It’s a cute surprise.
3.Sims that witness fight in school can post it in their Social Bunny. But if your sim is the one who is in the fight, they would not have the option to post. (A bug, I guess)
4.Sims in chess and computer team can “request a science fair” by the phone or computer. It will replace a football day or cheerleading day and will have a little contest for Sims to submit their score.
5.I found a bug. If more than 1 teenage Sims go to school and one of them skip class or not doing the daily task, they all will have the same school day result. I had twins in the game. One of them is a prankster, never do homework, never study for exam and always skip class. But he always ace in exam and have A grade all the time??? Anybody have this bug? Thanks.

I discovered the third idea yesterday, I was playing some rotational gameplay and the youngest found their older brother presenting the athlete career, I was ecstatic lol
Number 5 is less of a bug and more of a weird real life thing. Literally had a person who did that in my History class. He never studied, never did the homework except for when we had homework time, and he was hardly ever in class. Always 100 on tests. He had to go to summer to makeup for the class time he missed-- he basically came in to take a 4 hour nap.
I had this happen. My straight A twin got expelled and my prankster twin is getting straight A’s?? expelled after 2 sim days, didn’t know it could happen so quickly
Omg same, I wanted to have one brilliant kid and another failing one but they both ended successeding without even their homeworks ! So I just made my failure sibling to be fired by doing pranks
I really wish they updated the after school activities from the other packs like scouts and drama club from Seasons or soccer player from Discovering University. They could have even made them interactive like they have with the new ones.
I've read that graduating earlier isn't as beneficial as having a graduation seremonie, because graduating normally gives a stronger trait related to career boosts later on.
Just one thing. Summoning the Urban Myth thing can be done at level 8 in Mischief skill instead. In addition, the death by stink capsule isn't random: if it backfires, it gives the special moodlet that will cause death the next time.
Looking into tuning files I saw something about making those new ghosts (both of them) disable pranks. I still haven't seen in-game what it means...
Oh, one more thing. The new pranks (stink capsules, messing with school PA system, summoning the urban myth etc) are exclusive to teens. However, should a teen reach level 10 in Mischief skill, they'll get a special trait called "Authentic Prankster", which allows them to continue doing these pranks after they grow up.
@@TheSimsTutorialsEg Ah you're right. Thanks for the corrections! And as for the ghost ability, I did saw the interaction for them to disable pranks called "Defuse Pranks" on a pranked toilet but it's somewhat broken. When I tested it, the ghost will possess the object with a bit of an animation bug where they "sink" to the floor in the process, but after possessing the object, it will still be armed with the prank.

There's also that trait called death_urbanmyth, which is different than the one for the death (which has EP in it). It is interesting why is it there and what is its purpose... Or is it another unused thing like pets being flower pals in My Wedding Stories...
i don't have the pack but another thing i've heard is vampires can't die from the mirror prank (again don't have the pack something i've heard but also never seen confirmed)
The sim dancing in front of the ghost shack got me good.

I've found that I can create a reasonably good look from the thrift shop, sell it for tens of thousands of simoleons and usually sell it within a day or two. I'm doing a legacy challenge and all the original sims are long dead. Bob Pancakes bought my goth party outfit for 95k though. Never even checked the hype or promoted it.

Trendi is kinda broken lol but in a good way. The first time I used it I set one of the outfits to over 1,000,000, without promoting, and it sold. Lmao
idk if llama lair is shark tank or not but in the uk we have a show called dragon's den, which is, from what I assume, just like shark tank. EA is an American company though so it probably is shark tank.

Sims 4 High School Years is the best Expansion Pack for me, i love how Prom, Graduation and the Teen Lifestage itself got improved, but the School and The after school activities are so boring and very broken at release, and also despite the rabbitholes in some features, i still love this expansion pack.
Also i forgot the consequences if like sim is getting expelled or drop out From high school, some jobs are not available for them unless if they have a school diploma.

@@kailepotato it's still broken a little, but it depends on you if you buy it or not, for me it was good and don't have any issues with it but the graduation glitch because it was annoying me sometimes, you can wait once it is on 50% or 75% sale because it's still not worth it, but it depends on you.

XD To be fair, I didn't know if I'd be getting this pack at all, but then my parents offered to buy me video games for my birthday, and I figured I might as well pick this up. :p But this is neat -- I knew about career day, I've seen that in other people's LPs, but I didn't know about the fire alarm or school fights! That's cool! And yes, Trendi is extremely broken. I don't know if this is annoying or hilarious. Probably both. :P

Did they change how Trendi works? I have the pack and will set my items for ridiculously high prices and they tend to sell. That being said, it’s been a while since I last used the feature

the clothing items sold in the bubble tea store change daily! so you can’t get them until you go into the bubble tea store and they happen to be what appears that day! :)

@@ittgoldenwit6290 yes! the way you access the clothing available at the thrift/ bubble tea store is by clicking the clothing racks, you should get an option that says “create a fashion look” or something like that, and you’ll see the daily available cloths in there, a couple locked items should be mixed in that selection everyday :)
