Great riding! Love blasters so much in the surf. One of my favorite skis of all time. Maybe #2.

Hi Mate i'm using the gopro 3 black edition. Its just stuck on the nose with the gopro mount but I tape the hell out of it with race tape so it doesn't get pushed back and forth when the water hits it.

Thanks so much for advice Luke , much appreciated.
    Will be Fitting straps!
When things go wrong, what's your view, pull ski in tight and hold on or let go and get as far away as possible?

Its a 701 with a b-pipe. So not much power but you really dont need it for barrel rolls. I just put a link in the description so you can check it out

    Hey Luke
i was wondering if you have any tips or advice besides committing to the jump when attempting a back flip for the first time?
I can nail pretty much all the other tricks except the barrel role and back flip on the blaster….. Riding a 760 blaster with loads of power, about to have foot straps put on and wondering do i need trim too?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Dayne

      Hi Dayne
Foot straps are definitely your first step. Both tricks are relatively easy once you know how. If you have a normal length blaster and is not shortened like mine trim isn't necessary. I don't have trim and i'm only running a stock 701 with just a b-pipe. Like any trick commitment is the biggest thing. When backflipping you need a decent sized wave around head height. You want to hit the wave as its just about to break on you to pop your nose around. So approach it with a little bit of pace then at the bottom of the wave give it full gas and pull hard back on the bars.
Barrel rolls are little tricks. No trim is required just head straight at the wave. The wave doesn't need to be to steep. Just enough to give you a good pop. As you head up the wave crank your bars all the way to which way you roll, give it full gas and throw your head and weight towards the front corner of the ski in the direction you are rolling. Hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to ask. happy to help

Sorry, also noticed your Blaster nose is curved up quiet a bit and been shaped, what's the reason behind that?

number one rule when backflipping is to never ever let go.. if you hold on the ski will just push you into the water. It might slap on your back a bit but its not that bad. If you throw the ski you have the chance of the ski landing on you which is super dangerous or in my case 2 years ago I threw the ski away mid backflip and landed on the ski and broke my pelvis.
The nose reshaping helps a few ways, firstly it helps from nose diving when heading down a wave and secondly it gives you more pop when flipping to help get the nose around.
There is a link to the build in the description if you want to check it out..
