noturusualtypeofblues john has gotten into more pop stuff now but he is one of the most underrated songwriter and musician of our generation.He can play and adapt in almost any genre of music and is one of the best guitarist.Sure he had ego problems but he is pretty humble nowadays.

Sometimes when an artist releases new music, I dont like it. It feels different, like the artist is trying to force change so people like their new album. Not kaleo though, there new songs are a perfect blend of what I love about kaleo while showing us the next evolution of kaleo

Doesn't have to be forced though. Artists change, just like people, and while it's sad, it's perfectly fine to not feel the new face of your love of decades. Kaleo just happened to stay very true to its core while also evolving.
Actually, it seems like it's only the singer now. I'm sure he hires people for the other instruments. But on Spotify and such, he's the only one in the pictures and description. He left the band behind
I was afraid that their new songs wouldn't appeal to me the same as the last album too but I immediately fell in love with both of their new songs the first time I listened to them. When you try to make your songs more popular, you usually don't sing from your heart. Thank you Kaleo for singing from your heart still! Don't ever stop singing from your heart
I get that, I'm a big Pearl Jam fan and when they dropped Lightning Bolt in 2014 I didn't care for it for about a year or so and then after I returned to it, I thought it was incredible.
