Wow, higher wattage LEDs than the AG bounty basic, for a fraction off the cost. A shame that the max height is 15 inches. Would have loved to see the spider match the bounty's 18 inch height.

I just got the newest Spider Farmer model. It seems very nice. But the height is 9" to 15", not 20" maximum. I feel anyone interested in taller plants should know this.
Do you prefer this one or the LetPot 12 pod system, or something else? I'm looking for something that is compatible with AeroGarden sponges, and can be set to less than 16 hour timer (since it's for a small living space where it's too bright to keep working at night).
I prefer the 2023 model of Spider Farmer over LetPot 12-pod from the growth standpoint. I am getting a feeling that the lights on LetPot 12-pod is a bit weak and plants are not getting enough light for a healthy growth. Higher lights in Spider Farmer with less price is a clear winner in my opinion.

I have 1 question; I have an older Aerogarden Bounty Elite with the 45 watt light that I want to use for tomatoes, peppers, etc and want to get a less expensive model to grow herbs or greens. Of all of the reviews that you have done, which model do you recommend? I'm thinking the new Spider model but what do you recommend? Thanks as usual. 👍
Yeah, I like the latest version of Spider Farmer, and I recommend it. That's my go-to as of now.
Good review, as usual. I'm on the fence with this unit since I really HATE those holes in the grow deck. Do you cover those? I also hate that it doesn't use the Aerogarden pods because I have 5 Aerogardens and don't want to have to buy two different types of pods. I guess I'll wait on the next version!
Update: I'm a sucker so I bought it anyway. Found some small white rubber plug things to cover the small holes in the deck. The pods are still annoying but I found that the IDOO 1.18" pods will fit this machine.

Do you know if the pump will run on the timer if the light is removed? I'm thinking of using base with a suspended light panel. Thanks!
OK, I'll answer my own question in case anyone else is curious. The answer is YES, the pump still runs and the control panel stays on even with the light removed. It works well for taller plants when used with a suspended light panel.
