I am an efficiency freak in this game. I'm simply unable to construct a nice looking city with my obsession with clipping buildings and saving as much space as I can. This is why I must watch videos like these to appreciate the other side of this great game.
I share your feelings. I'm not necessarily an "efficiency freak", but I too prefer my cities to be efficient rather than beautiful. But I do love beauty and I sure can appreciate other people's cities.

I think I will make some new landscape videos including the latest dlc And I may also make some videos about how I modularly build my village, city, port and various decoration combinations, even the World Expo. In my save game, I am not only pursuing beautiful scenery, but the city hall and trade union also played a great role I am committed to finding a good balance between building beauty and efficiency. Unfortunately, I have been busy learning C4D paid training courses recently. I won’t be able to update my video until early May.

Your savegame looks nice to watch it, but it also looks like you used cheats? Else it is quite hard to explain how every single island has all goods totally maxed. It just doesn't make sense in a normal game ;)
Thanks for playing my save game. Right, I used Wemod to cheat resources in the game. Because I’m too busy to play this game without cheats(Of course I don’t use cheats in any other game which would destroy other peoples’ game experience :) ).However, I am focus on the balance between efficiency and sceneries, Wemod just speeds up the process. If you have enough time and don’t like this way, you can completely make it by yourself:)
So bad for me, beautiful game. I won't give a penny for any EGS exclusive, even it had delayed released on Steam after exclusive period. All Anno series had removed from my wish list. 10cent is cancer for game industry, EGS is one of their dirty tools, never trust, never submit.
