Xando brooooo I’ve been running this cover 2 like crazy now pretty much all game and sometimes I get beat over the top trying to make my adjustments to Clip but I found this sometimes work in my favor because I run cover 2 so much I keep cover 3 buzz in my audibles this is great because it gives the same 2 high safety look and once they see that corner take off panic mode 😂😂😂bro I’m 44yo and been playing madden like a video game now you got me doing research to put real life play in the game much love bro keep it coming
All love bro. That's the one thing I don't like about madden. I wish we could have a preset on where we want our players to be. Imagine being able to just call 2clip presnap or 2match presnap and not have to worry about moving players
@@XandoFootball I don’t know bro I think it’s you have an advantage right now. alot of madden players don’t know anything about defensive plays and how they work .I’m one of them but I’ve been doing my own research since subscribing and becoming a member to your channel and it’s like you said your a defensive coordinator so if they don’t know they don’t know 🤣 I just look at making the adjustments like doing a finishing move in a fighting game gotta be quick 😂😂
I’m glad you made that call back to the lion concept. It’s how I found this channel and really got the X’s and O’s of football into madden instead of running the meta, or a dummy c3 adjustment I made in madden 20 to play Soft Squats instead of outside thirds. If they have no help overtop they just carried one vertical so with those and seam flats I would have opponents miserable but I never understood why it worked. Ever since finding your channel I’ve been looking into the coverage logic for every possible assignment in madden. Adding that to learning more about coverage variations has made playing defense fun for me in a game where I would hate playing unless it was offense. Now I allow 17.3 ppg and knowing all of these different defenses has prepared me to play anyone and have a fighting chance. Thanks Xando you have really helped me get back into football with your channel
It's all good bro I love spreading information. As I learn you learn and vice versa. I'm sure you've noticed . . . picking that type of stuff up and learning why something worked makes it easier for you to figure out how to stop things because you know what answers to look for. And these concepts stay with you forever. You'll know where madden is wrong and etc upon other things.
You would have to check into it. This is one of the few unrealistic things about Madden I don't have a problem with though. In real life...teams have weeks of film to study and digest what teams like to do in down and distance/ with personnel groupings/ location of ball(red zone green zone etc)... We play random opponents and don't have that luxury. Also - From what I've seen - Teams have checks with their calls. Example would be that the defense may have called cover 2 in huddke...but if opponent lines in bunch - everyone on the bunch side checks into the bunch call for that week when cover 2 called. (Like a box call) etc.
@@XandoFootball This more a football question however if this was college, how would the hashes affect your play calling if at all? Would choose coverage shells based on field position, formation, or both? If both how would you do that?
@Mike Thomas It impacts my adjustments on certain calls. I really do a lot of weird stuff into the boundary being that their is less space to attack for the offense. There are other things I do like call a corner blitz coming from the boundary because there is less space for that corner to travel. You cam create - brees creepers-.... Those are rotated coverages with a secondary blitz coming from the boundary. Hopefully I'll make a video on that stuff.
That’s because it’s automatically on. EA added a switch for current gen to dumb down the game for the pros that consistently complain and don’t know their own defense
love your videos but man your audio is so low, do you not mix it when editing your videos? I'll be watching you at full volume, then a youtube ad plays with proper audio mix and my phone speaker explodes
Cover 9 is in 43 over, big nickel over g, and dime 23. You can use cover 6 and just flip the play. The best formations to use would be 34 and dime normal. When you flip cover 6 from those formations there is very little movement. Otherwise you have to wait on your slot cb to flip sides out of most nickel formations when flipping cov 6. If you have time it's fine. If you get quick snapped, players could be out of position.
@Charles Rose I'm in the Washington playbook they don't got a cover 9 but okay if that's the only real difference then I'll just keep my normal rotation of plays in thanks for the help
Love the work and dedication. Channels like you get me excited to actually play madden again. We need part 2!!

8:29 Heard that Freudian Slip lol. We know you have a Tik Tok now
great vid. liked and subbed
Do you play cover 2 with match on all the time
@5:00 In past maddens and NCAA you couldn't see the formation pre play. How would use this principal without prior notice to the formation?
You would have to check into it.

I’m on last gen and they didn’t add any match adjustments to this version of the game
Wow. Ea just fails on every level imaginable

They still exist but you don’t have to go turn on the switch bc the match logic automatically applies. It’s legacy coding that people always ignored

I don't have cover 9 in my plabook can I use 6 as a replacement for steal?
