Great Video as always. About the rule, the thing is: If you call "Foul" then you accept that you want to "Check", It's more about fair play, you know, cause theres no referee. So, if you shoot and call "FOUL" or "CHECK" is the same: you want THAT and the play is meaningless to you; other case for the "AND ONE" when you call it you straight foward claim the point over the faul, even if the faul exist. SO, if the ball don't go in, well the match continue. I really think this way cause "The balance"... and to be fair enough a Player can't be referee and player at the same time. The players that drive hard to the goal and attempt something they saw on tv, but when the shot doesn't go in, they use "And 1", during the attempt, because they know there's a better chance they will miss, because their shot was just a prayer and not a confident shot. "And 1", have your cake and eat it too".

Honestly everywhere I've ever played across the country, "And 1" was just another way of saying "foul". It wasn't until watching these park takeover runs when Covid started that I saw different places within cities have different rules. The idea of "foul" and "and 1" meaning different things doesn't make much sense logically if you're in the act of shooting. But I do think it's cool to honor the rules of the spot you're playing in.
Lol I've only ever played with "and 1" meaning it's a play on. It was only when I started watching Friga that I found out people don't play it that way everywhere

In LA we usually play and 1 as a foul , because and 1 means your getting fouled , if you happen to make it in the process then your just tuff like that and you keep going , but if you miss then check ball .. just makes more sense to me

It prolly stems from the 1000000 fights that have happened after someone waited til they missed to call foul and the other team aint wanna give it to em😂 in street ball terms there’s no three pt play so technically “it ain’t a foul if u can make it” therefore u only gonna call obvious/blatant fouls.
