Kernow Beta 1100 CB27/81 UK FM CB radio - repair & service alignment

This set was kindly sent in by one of our viewers.
These radios usually work very well & although very similar in circuitry & layout to the Midland 77-095, don;t seem to suffer from the dry joints that the Midlands get or the poor squelch performance.
Other than a dying capacitor, the radio otherwise just required a re-alignment to bring the transmit back to a full 4W output & excellent receive sensitivity. These sets are crystal filtered as factory standard.
