    Interestingly, I contrast this man's ideas and his European contemporaries against the American Robert Henri who in his rejection of Europe claimed to bring the young artists in the United States east a new art, forward thinking and future oriented. I guess it was his purpose to reject what he thought was an intellectualism when, as I see this Léger, this emerging art was so emotional and impulse based, a process to finding.
