- I took the opportunity of some time off to climb Mt Beerwah for the first time in 15 years. Much of that time the mountain has been closed to climbing, and it's still too hard for me to take my girls on.
I've tried to show quite comprehensively what the Mount Beerwah climb is like.
It seems like it's soon to be closed again permanently for racist reasons, so this might be my last climb of Mount Beerwah. There was unfortunately some major vandalism done to the rock face just a week after I climbed, which has given fuel to the campaign to lock out bushwalkers and climbers for reasons of race discrimination.
The most informative video of the climb with the least dialogue. Well done. Thank you.
This is the best video so far. Just a detailed report and capture of the real climb and back up the mountain. Thanks so much. Also just listening to your comments and not having the hassle of music makes this my favourite too. Cheers ✅
Agree 💯 this is definitely the best . Just detailed information about the climb.
best vid ive seen of this climb so far
Have you tried climbing up the east face of Mt Beerwah yet? It's much hard than this side
I have climbed East Beerwah once many years ago and yes it is harder, both technically and route finding. We did it ok, to be honest it wasn't that much more difficult than the main route, at least by the route I took. However it's not marked anything like the main route is, you have to find your own path and holds and what not. The final section onto the summit is very vertigo inducing, compared to the normal route even. Spectacular though.
Please film and upload that route mate! @@DavidFindlayQLD
