Minister Gets $100K Untendered Contract from NDP Government and Now Refuses to Explain

- Public documents reveal that NDP economic development minister Jamie Moses (MLA for St. Vital) directly awarded a $100,000 contract for groceries to Grandpa George’s in April 2024. Turns out the sole proprietor of Grandpa George’s is another NDP cabinet minister, Ian Bushi (Keewatinook).
PC Caucus Chair Greg Nesbitt (MLA for Riding Mountain) has called on the Manitoba Ethics Commissioner to investigate the two NDP cabinet ministers for the sole-sourced, untendered contract.
When asked by Opposition Leader Wayne Ewasko if he'd comply with the ethics commissioner, Wab Kinew says no.
