Jenna has such a great ability to bring out the more natural, non -performative Link. I adore The Rhett and Link vibe, but this is such a breath of fresh air. Jenna’s a such a calming presence. Really enjoyed the pod.
There should be a Jenna for every single person who needs one, just sayin'. Loved the reading recs, and will be starting them, soon. Very sorry for your loss, Jenna, and thanks to Link for being very accommodating in this episode.
Started listening to Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Kimmerer, based on this recommendation. It has shifted my perspective about how I view (or have failed to view) the gifts that the earth gives me, and about how numb I am to the world that sustains me. Taking time to think about the life my food, and more, lived, has me looking in a new direction.
i first listened to this on Spotify yesterday, ive been waiting for the episode on RUclips so i can see the image 😂 because this 25:27 is probably the first time i heard Link sounds like that edited: its not that bad!! i was expecting blurry high 80's hair, crunchy grumpy squinting eyes face. he 28:29 looks adorably wholesome ahhaha
I had no clue Jenna had an autoimmune disease let alone a form of arthritis like myself!! We really are out here silently pushing through with our issues aren’t we?💛 Your space-buns are too cute and I’m definitely going to read some of your books you recommended Jenna, thank you!
That photo is not that bad, come on! it's just very candid and not something you would expect from professional photographer I guess? And I never understood why Link didnt like his longer, messier hair. I think it matches his personality and looks cute
Jenna is lovely and amazing, clearly fully equipped to be the host/star of her own thing, and given her ability to backup Rhett & Link and support funeral coordination, she's evidently incredible at just managing stuff. What an amazing person to have in one's corner. Anyone would be lucky to have a Jenna in their life.
I’m still working through my trauma from the Tubbs fire in Napa/sonoma county in 2017. My boyfriend (now husband) is a cop and had to literally save my parents and their dogs. Long story short, we’re married now, and my parents are thriving 🙌🏻
I just love the idea of having a segment on GMM for moths of checking in with Jenna on the trail. Just at the end like the weather at the end of the news
I too had to deal with a heart-wrenching passing over this last week. Also my age, too young for for the passing. Was comforting to hear a similar experience.
yipee! got back into rhett and link recently and ive been binging their past vids. i prefer ear biscuits to the general current format of gmm and so im excited to listen to an ep as it comes out on yt!
One time I got seasick on a dinner cruise and my dad thought it would be a good time to take a picture of me yakking over the side of the boat. Your “worst” picture could be worse Link 😅
As an event photographer, though not for Getty, I will say that I will NOT post a bad photo of someone. Because aside from it doing things like leading to a podcast talking about it, it doesn't reflect well on the photographer. I will 100% admit that I prefer candid over posed, but still a little bit of tact goes a long way. That said, if someone wants to share this with Link, It's not exactly a super-model pose or a professional headshot, but I honestly don't think it's as bad as he thinks. I don't know that I would have shared it, but it's really not as bad as it was hyped up here.
Oof my first MS medication was a self injection & it gave me such anxiety that I actually just quit taking it for a week or so at one point 🙃 Luckily (?) it started killing my subcutaneous fat & leaving divots at injection sites so I got on a different medication that's a simple pill & I'm so grateful lol.
i need to read more, i like the idea of it, but my adhd brain doesnt like sitting in silence for too long, but them music would distract me from the book, so the only way ive ever been able to do it is by reading along with the audio book like they would do to us in school
I listen to lyricless jazz or lofi when I read sometimes I still get distracted but other times I don't even notice it! another option I use is listening to nature sounds like rain or the forest floor
I hope they don't mean the example photo on the thumbnail, I think that is the best Link has ever looked, It's doesn't look staged and with the gruff and the hair and the salt and pepper he looks great, I wished I looked half that good
Answering the first guy's voice note you just informed the new barber that the person that originally used to cut your hair who does it in the way you like has returned and I am going to go back and become his customer again say there is no hard feelings there and hope you get all the business you get and maybe recommend a few people to the new barber so that after you stop giving them business they still have a good amount of customers and clientele

Jenna’s great at this podcasting thing. She has a great voice for it too.
Jenna does have a great voice!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😮
She was Link's cohost last year too when Rhett was gone. She's a natural at it.
Thanks! 😊
Agreed
Saw the photo first on reddit before seeing this episode; it wasn’t the worst but it’s something 😅
Same. 😂
I hope Rhett feels better and Thank you both for the episode!
31:47 absolutely spot on impression 😂

Jenna is great and she brings out such a different side of Link. It’s great once in a while.
I’m loving the vibe of this episode. I like this side of Link.

I love when Jenna is here!!! I hope you feel better soon Rhett
If Link thinks that is a bad photo he should see my moms. -_- She waits until you are talking or eating. Trust me in can be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse!
I had no clue Jenna had an autoimmune disease let alone a form of arthritis like myself!! We really are out here silently pushing through with our issues aren’t we?💛 Your space-buns are too cute and I’m definitely going to read some of your books you recommended Jenna, thank you!

Sending so much love to you Jenna. Terrible to lose someone so young.
I love our boys to death, but I adore when Jenna is on the show ❤️❤️❤️
I love when Jenna joins, she has such a beautiful personality ❤
This episode has super happy vibes lol
It’s Jenna

Braiding sweetgrass is an amazing book. I think about it almost every day
I love how Jenna explained being in a box and it not being beneficial.
I really want to get into reading more stuff and I love Jenna’s recommendations
Jenna, your hair buns look AWESOME!
I’m still working through my trauma from the Tubbs fire in Napa/sonoma county in 2017. My boyfriend (now husband) is a cop and had to literally save my parents and their dogs. Long story short, we’re married now, and my parents are thriving 🙌🏻
hey Jenna, you're like, a good person and stuff. i'm glad we get to know you some thru Mythical! keep doing you!
Jenna looks like Link's younger Niece. Twinning!
Love book talk with Jenna. Sarah J. Maas yes. Fourth Wing yes. Struggling with Blood and Ash. Will definitely look into some of her recs.
umm can jenna give book recommendations at the end of every episode? more dark recs!
Jenna describing “when women were dragons” made me sob😭 added✅
JENNA ILY YOURE so sweet.
Jenna I love your hair 🖤
So much love for Miller, always ❤
I just love the idea of having a segment on GMM for moths of checking in with Jenna on the trail. Just at the end like the weather at the end of the news
Exciting to see Jenna! And I love how Link & her interacted.
Braiding Sweetgrass changed my life ngl. I have a native prairie garden thanks to Dr. Kimmerer, with Sweetgrass in the center
If Jenna and the boys are down and can figure it out id LOVE to see Jenna camp out there and get a video a day of her checking in idk sounds fun
Listening to this on my ride to work thanks for keeping me awake 👍
I too had to deal with a heart-wrenching passing over this last week. Also my age, too young for for the passing. Was comforting to hear a similar experience.
YES!!! Braiding sweetgrass!!!
A people's history by Zinn is the first book they had us read in my history undergrad! Great book especially on social history!
yipee! got back into rhett and link recently and ive been binging their past vids. i prefer ear biscuits to the general current format of gmm and so im excited to listen to an ep as it comes out on yt!
My birthday is Feb 10th so I'm usually excited around this time, but mentally for me it's still the second week of January 😭
January was not only long for y’all. It’s been the longest month I can recall for me. Amazingly not the greatest one
Lol, that punk in the corner took my picture lol thanks for the laugh😂
LOVE Braiding Sweetgrass! I recommend it to everyone also!
Jenna and I are book soul mates. I'd read anything she recommends!
I love digging through the dollar bins at McKay's!! We have one in Chattanooga, TN
I personally loved Links mullet era!
One time I got seasick on a dinner cruise and my dad thought it would be a good time to take a picture of me yakking over the side of the boat. Your “worst” picture could be worse Link 😅
Honestly the photo is not that bad 🤷🏽♀️
2 7 year long friends talking about life for 70 minutes 😅

Man if that’s your worst photo, you ain’t doing half bad!!
i dont know, this thumbnail is giving the photo in question a run for its money lmao
I love this! You should still both be on and have guests from the team that would be cool
I think that picture of Link could be salvaged, with the right caption. Maybe "a little old, a little weird".
Oof my first MS medication was a self injection & it gave me such anxiety that I actually just quit taking it for a week or so at one point 🙃

6:47 Jenna is from Knoxville?! I’m from that area! Hi former neighbor!
Photo is at 28:01 fyi
Honestly, I thought the thumbnail pic for this episode was worse that the one @ 28:00 in.
Cynthia Erivo and Jon Hamm were in Bad Times at the El Royal together...
i need to read more, i like the idea of it, but my adhd brain doesnt like sitting in silence for too long, but them music would distract me from the book, so the only way ive ever been able to do it is by reading along with the audio book like they would do to us in school

No one should see your first sip off coffees face😅
Jennifer Davis book is amazing! She spoke at our kid’s school.

Love yall ❤
Why wasn't this titled "Jenna talks about books"?
Omg McKay's mentioned! RRRAAAAAHHHHHHH!
loved most of Jenna's recs but When Women Were Dragons DESTROYED ME when I read it!! it's stunning if you only read one rec it should be that one!!
Link looks like Alec Baldwin in Beetlejuice 😂
That pic is really giving Dana Carvey !
So glad I clicked on this one
Good to hear more about Wonder hole, I was just at the youtube craving a new episodes 🤍🔥 I keep watching the older ones, they are great!
dang, Folgers needs to get in touch with Link i think
Not that I really care but did they start censoring the podcast?
I’d date jenna
Awesome job you guys drop a like for you.
Does Jenna give an update on how her date went?
The one in the thumbnail gives it a run.
I feel for rhett on the back pain. I screwed up my back 5 days ago, still not 100% but getting better.
I like your username
Rhett, you've something different with your hair!
Tell me she gives us an update on Brennan 😭
Did they try to make him look bad in the thumbnail too? Lol
Link is having the "while if my work best friend wont be there I don't wanna be there" feeling lol
Why did they censor 9:58?
❤️👍
28:01
The current thumbnail is also not a great photo 😅 did him dirty
Noooooo lol
19:42
Good morning
HAHAHAHAHA
Link at 59:56 STOP DOING THAT!!!! NOT A GOOD LOOK!!!
Jenna and Link, I’m sure I won’t be getting annoyed at any point!
The photographer has done Link a favor by showing him the truth about his hair.
There is some comfort knowing I’m not the only one whose January was rough. Thanks for sharing🫶🏻
