@Naenae Boy this years team is going to be different than the team next year. The 2021-22 Colorado avalanche are probably one of the greatest teams in nhl history
I've been a huge fan since 96 and this one just feels different. I've never been prouder to be a Avalanche fan. What a season, what a playoffs, what a team. Congratulations boys you deserve it!!!
I agree completely! Especially considering the losses we have had in the last couple years and the transition from Roy to Bednar this is just... SO gratifying. Still on cloud 9.
The past few playoff failures fueled this team, they wanted it more than everyone and it showed. I’ve never seen a team that was never out of a game quite like this team, they could’ve be down 2 or 3 and I knew they could come back and win, different team!
Love Landy. He has been 100% business and determination. He never gave excuses, always took every loss on him self. A true captain. I really liked to see him let lose after the final victory. He really deserved the hoist this cup. If he so chose he will one day be a successful GM just like Sackic and Yzerman.
I loved Frankie mentioning that he loved the Avs since 2001 and never thought he would be a part of this year's victory. He started his hockey career in 2007 but didn't set foot on NHL ice until 2018. After a decade in the minors, he probably never thought he'd lift the cup. (and win all 6 of his playoff starts in doing so)
So so happy for them, what an amazing season. Joe learnt about putting a team together by being part of such a team himself. Pierre is smiling down on them right now. This brought tears to my eyes. Seeing the families, hearing the speeches (especially Jared's), and reliving the parade made me feel a part of this special time even though I live in Canada. Everyone played their part in this victory, and the belief in themselves carried them home. They all love and care so much about each other, what a special group this is. Much love to them all. Let's do it again next year!!!
@@lelouchvibritannia4028 Only one person was arrested through all the festivities. That's a stark contrast to so many cities where they have to bust out the riot equipment regardless of if they win or lose.
Game 2 was some good dominant hockey but I'd argue that Game 6 3rd Period was their strongest the whole season. Keeping a team like that to just 2 shots for the majority of the period is just incredible. Either way I'm ecstatic to see this team lift the cup and to bring it back to Denver after so long. They earned it and nobody can take that from them now!
@@abyssdrgn agreed I’m right there with you. Die hard Bolts fan and anything Tampa related. Your guys were just better point blank period. It was a joy to watch the avalanche speed and tempo all those SOG’s just incredible play both zones enjoy your cup guys
@@Devidra48 Game 6, Lightning facing elimination and they get like zero shots in the first 10 minutes of the third period and then end with like 4? Avs fucked up in game 5 but in game 6 once they got the lead they dominated.
I love this team so much. I've been a lifelong fan, but I'm only 22, so i literally grew up with a lot of these players. So to see them finally be rewarded for all their hard work and determination is amazing! In a weird way this team feels like family. I'm not a big sports fan, other than when it comes to the Avs! So happy and proud! GO AVS!
My first game was in 2001 against the Oilers. Joe Sakic had a hat trick. Later on they won the cup, even after that, i got a chance to say hello and get an autograph from Super Joe at an Outback Steakhouse. The Avalanche have been my favorite sports team since and after all the ups and downs, this year was special. I've had a part in it for sure but, my life has been very volatile for half a decade and being able to distract myself with this team has meant a lot to me. Job well done boys. Thanks for the memories
Most wins in franchise history. Most wins through the regular season and playoffs combined in NHL history. Just absolutely dominant all season long. Best Avs team ever, and it was put together by the Avs legend Joe Sakic. Just a fairy tale finish to what was a historic season. Congrats to the boys! Now let’s go try and get another one. Go Avs Go!!
This season was amazing it was way better than we could have imagined. The guys played thier ass off and it was some of the best hockey I've ever seen. I'm glad I was able to witness the cup coming back to Colorado
What a team. To watch as they grew and add new guys. To sit there and see the energy come together and keeping the ball moving no matter the set backs. This is a team of greatness no matter what way you look at it and they will go on to do more great things. #GoAvsGo
Definitely had me choked up, awesome video. Thank you Colorado Avalanche, for those leaving this off season, you’ll never be forgotten. And those that stay…LFG

"One of the most mentally strong teams" Seriously I have never seen a playoff team turn down so many opportunities to fight or retaliate. Not an Avs fan but I loved watching them finally win it all almost a decade after they were the worst team in the league. They did it the right way through great drafting and trading rather than shelling out money to players or circumventing the cap like the Tampa Bay Light rain did. Avs need some "0 million under the cap shirts"
I got mad when I watched the highlight of Tampa scoring right after that guy knocked Kuemper's mask off his face in game 3. Should have been a penalty for goalie interference, not a goal
Such a great season. That high, now with the withdrawal but with a huge smile and sense of pride in this Team, this franchise. It's ok to feel that pride. Don't let anyone say otherwise, ignore them 💪🏻💪🏻👍
Wish the salary cap didn't exist! We should keep all of them coming back next year but a handful of them will be gone :( Welcome Georgiev! Thank you Kuemps for everything! We also wish the best to other players who won't be back with us like Naz and Andre and few more. All the best to everyone!! Avs can do it again next year!
Imagine going through all that fing battling and end up finally winning that war in front of the away crowed. Arena is empty pretty quick vs hearing the earthquake screaming
I can’t imagine that flight back to Florida for game 6 after the Stanley Cup was just in your building the night before. Perhaps the moment was just a little too big for the young Avalanche team against the playoff proven veterans. But I think they were more determined not to have a long, quiet plane ride home.
Or after every goal by the avs they literally delayed the play so the momentum would stop. After the Nathan McKinnon goal in game 6 they literally delayed play for 10 minutes before dropping the puck again.
