This was gold! A good cover and a poke in the eye at videos of the 80s really. Anyone with issues about the cover obviously doesn't know much about the band. Just lie back and think of the Dropkick Murphys if it makes you feel better.
I remember catching this video on Headbangers Ball back in the day. I recordered the first 1:30 before I decided it wasn't worthy of my thrash metal tape....yet, that video segment was the song I watched over and over again. Sadly Headbangers Ball never replayed the video. You Tube Rules! I finally get to see the entire video.
I've never heard Lawnmower Deth before, but it seems I have missed a lot out. I was a young teenager then and there was a lot of other music I was getting into (I discovered metal in this time, with the likes of the Maiden, Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer and the such) so didn't ever get the chance to listen to them. Now the music scene is dire. Oh for those days of British metal and thrash.
i once had a black VisionStreetWear jacket, let an ex-girlfriend wear it and she kept it!! whoa-Oh thats Kids In America whoa-Oh!! This video paved the way for alot of stuff we see today. Naa-na-na-naa, naa-na-na-naa!!
I love how they go full throttle during the verses then turn all poppy and slow down during the chorus. The chorus, especially those "naa naa nana naas", are too fun not to sing as originally made. =)
Awesome cover, can't get over that there from Ravenshead, that place is full of pretentious snobs... I don't think i've seen a house there under 500k. Seems like a strange place to form a metal band!! Lord Byron would be proud!
I love this cover! They actually did another version in '93, but it was much weaker sounding. It got rid of the raw, unpolished thrash approach, in favor of a cleaner, less offensive punk style. This version (the one in the video, I mean) is clearly the better of the two.
@@mikedickens7957 did you know about this too? Apparently the real Kim Wilde actually collaborated with LawnDeth on a song together recently, just found out about it now looking through their discography, how cool is that!
I'm mistaken; I could've sworn I read a long time ago that they were from Ireland. When I was tape trading back them, I had a tape of all Irish metal bands and I would kill to have it now.
This is hands down the 2nd best version of this song ever, including the original. What's the best version? Lawnmower Deth's "De La Deth" remix...BADASS!
First videoclip i really liked back in '91, there was no Mtv, only superchannel.. my brother taped it with VHS and after that Napalm Death's "Mass appeal madness"...
I listen to a ton of heavy music & have heard lots of covers of this song (some metal). The original is still the best version out there. Plus I still have a crush on 80-00s version of Kim Wilde. BUT...this is still the best cover of KIA EVER!! I got "Ooh Crikey..." in about 96 (?)...their version of comedy metal/hardcore is 2nd to none. Like metal version of NOFX. "THE 7TH church of the apocalyptic lawn mower..." hah!
I remember this when it came out. Lawnmower Deth are cool guys. Great live shows. Band worth going to see.
One of the greatest bloody covers that's ever seen the light of day!!!
If all bands could make music this awesome, there would be no need for any kind of Heaven. We would already be there.
Perfectly summed up into words aspie182.
Would love to see Lawnmower Deth on The Simpsons 😂
I remember watching this video on headbangers ball in the late 80's :)
One of the top bands in the world.
Great cover. Great band. Up there with SOD and MOD 🤘🤪🤘
Kim Wilde said she loved this cover. :3
She even performed it live with the band
Excellent work Radio 2 - the official thrash metal station. This should be Christmas No. 1
i was at a record fair on the weekend and found this on 12" vinyl... SCORE!!!
Coooool!! Takes me right back to the SugarHill Club in Newport. When music was real....
Best version ever.
Na na na na na! This takes me WAY back!! Thanx for posting. It reminds me of a time I was young, impressionable and skinny.
It was some time ago!
saw these guy live the other week at Download... one of the best bands the whole weekend
You and your brother have excellent musical taste!
Best cover song ever.
Luv it, been luvin it since the 90s

Holy Shit. The Fucking bass player for this song is legit my dad, thats so crazy to think about
Does he still play in Lawnmower Deth?
@@danplaysguitar6706 yes

One of the best live bands I ever saw, FISH DANCE!!!!! Never new this video existed rofl
Best music video ever
great memories, first heard it in 1992

The song is so good it's hard to get wrong
This is like, Better than the studio version to me :D
Much prefer this version to the Billy one but thanks for the uploads anyway! More Deth is always welcome :D

The b-side is another version aswell, the de la deth mix, totally different
@@mikedickens7957 oh cool, I'll have to check it out
It's on youtube, so it's easy to find. Done like an early 90s rap song lol

Awesome. Kim Wilde is good and Lawnmover Deth kicks ass.

MANSFIELD!!!! Good lads :D
Watch out for those pesky lawnmowers! They're a sneaky bunch!
I'm here because of BBC Radio 2
haha remember this on raw power years ago!!! seem to remember one of them was called " qualcast mutilator"
Fond memories of playin this out to bemused and amused students back in the day.
oh...you're the asshole who thinks his music is so amazing that it's over the heads of the people you're annoying with it.
They just played this on Radio 2
+Colin H Robertson yup, that's why I'm here, refreshing LOL
Radio 2?? Are you kidding me? I thought they were a MOR/AOR station?
look out its the lawnower of deth good band too c live
Holy shit! Thats awesome! Got no legs? Don't come crawling to me!
Man , not heard the death in yonks but thats almost a ballad by how I remember them !
Love it!!!! :)))
I can't believe that they never made it.
Some things like Lawnmower never become old and others like biber or gaga become obsolete in the day they were created.
Saw these guys at Bloodstock '11 and it was hilarious!
First videoclip i really liked back in '91, there was no Mtv, only superchannel.. my brother taped it with VHS and after that Napalm Death's "Mass appeal madness"...
91? 🤔
Memories
go to video if I ever want cheering up and reminded of simpler times 😊
me too mate. 1st band I saw live when I was 16.
Earache, the label that brought you Morbid Angel, Carcass, and Entombed!

Amen to that.
Пиздатая группа была! У меня 2 альбома их было.
