Great video! Are trees only cut in winter or year round? When I was kid my grandfather and me went out in dead of winter to cut down logs for his home. He told they dried better that way. I can't believe we did all that work by hand.
Thank you very much 🤝 Your grandfather was right. The trees have less moisture in them during winter, wich makes it easier to handle and the winter air is also dryer wich is good for the drying of the lumber. Trees can be cut year around, but winter is the best time 🌲❄️
@@Hrafnasson You can legally be a ‘’self-builder’’ in Norway for constructions such as a cabin or home for own use. You do however have to follow the guidelines in ‘’Plan- og bygningsloven’’ and regulations for houses for residence, ‘’Tec 17’’. Log homes, however, have their own energy-regulations, as they are traditional buildings.
