So folks know. I'm on regular gravel road at maxxing the frames weight and hit about 2100ft a single charge running full turbo the whole way through the state park. This is on a 2.1 engine too.
Would you buy this bike over the sl you tested a while back ? I'm waiting till the sl comes out with the new mastermind before I look into it. Great review too 👍
Good question! For riding with extra assistance the Levo SL is great. But if you really want the extra support that the 2.2 motor gives for better self-shuttling, then the Turbo Levo is what you'll want.
Nice review thanks.I like the adjustability We have two 2018 levo's modified with 150 cranks👍 and Mullet 👍Super quiet and reliable powerful smooth 1.3 motor .Suspension needs a bit more support. Won't be upgrading bikes until reliability is proven bullitproof for the very pricey 2022 bikes. Also have a 2020 levo comp but reliability suffered although specialized warranty is good. E=Mtb²
@@Australianmountainbike 2018 levo's came with 175mm cranks .For me 150 cranks just gave me more confidence pedalling thru rock gardens and around corners. You have to raise the seat the amount you shorten the cranks and I like to pedal at a high cadence .I feels like my body doesn't move around as much and crank length is only a gearing thing so I can use a lower gear or a bit more motor support. Levo's have 90nm and I only need about 70nm max being only 65kg. E=Mtb²
Let's be clear, it's not a direct comparison given the significant price differences. However, the seamless design of the Turbo Levo and very quiet running has been excellent. Throw in adjustable geometry (if you're likely to tinker with that) and it's a great bike. The eOne-Sixty puts a few thousand back in your pocket, with just about all the same attributes, although slightly less design integration.
I just picked up the Alloy Comp which comes with the standard TCU control. Does anyone know if specialized is selling the Mastermind TCU as an aftermarket option?
Hi Tom, it's a really comfortable bike to ride - the only problem for multiday trips would be charging. You'd need to bring your charger with you of course.
Bought this bike mid year 2022. For $12k, you'd think they'd put on a quality set of brakes. Seriously, SRAM brakes suck! Bought some Shimano SLX brakes, which should've been on there to begin with. Other than that issue, I l9ve the bike. The Gen 3 motor is awesome....like an automatic transmission.
Catch Ryan's complete review in our next issue - it'll end up on our website as well to complement this video review. The specs of both the battery and motor are within this review, but point taken.

@@Australianmountainbike so which bike feels more like a normal non pedal assist bike
I am 1,78 as you, but people recommend me the s3. Día you find the s4 big or just Perfect for 1,78?
Thanks!
AlejandroI measure the same size as you chose s3 or s4
Que talla eligieron s3 o s4, yo también estoy en la duda, la s3 la encuentro encajonado
Conseguí probar las dos tallas, y para mí la s4 mucho mejor, perfecta.

where is thewalk button located?..does it have to remain depressed when in use?
Hello!! Nice Video!!!
What is your height and bike size (new turbo levo) and what size do you suggest for 5.7 height?
178cm and on an S4. You would be best to consult your Specialized dealer for fit - they'll help you out for sure!
I’m same height 5.7 and I ordered s3
Que medida tienes para elegir s4, yo mido 178 y 82 entrepierna y estoy en duda s3 o s4.. gracias
Prices are getting out of control. I'm thinking about Levo Alloy, but 6600 euros...🙄
this or the comp carbon? this is a little bit better but for this price I can have the factory parts at other brands and a lot more
We think it's always best to get the best frame you can afford. Or for an eMTB, the best frame and support system.
Were you to buy a 150/160 mm travel e bike, would you prefer the Levo over the Merida E One Sixty?

Could one use this bike for multi day bike packing trips in the Alps for example? Would sitting down for hours still be comfortable?

I'm 6'1.2" tall (186 cm) and I had problem to choose the correct frame size S4 or S5 :( Can you help me?
There's probably a lot to go into, based on your trails and overall fit. Have you spoken to your local Specialized dealer?
