    Your reviews are great, you do such a thorough job. Force Unleashed is still my favorite Star Wars game though, I never really cared for the Jedi games.

      Dude... the things I'd do for a Force Unleashed style game with modern tech.

    I don't know how all of you got bugs at visual and cloth simulation and freezes or frame drops, like i played it from the first day, and i didn't experience any one of that

    I agree that the crossguard being heavier and hitting harder is completely nonsensical for a lightsaber, but that doesn't mean its not absolutely a blast to use. Instead of furiously mashing attack, you can carefully chose your timing and take an enemy out in a few swings, which is way more satisfying.

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  Год назад

      Real talk, I used Crossguard/Dual Wield for the entire game.

  • @nated4237
    @nated4237 Год назад

    I dont rhink the idea of the crossguard saber is supposed to be that its “heavier”. Its a stance, not a new weapon, cal alters his fighting style to swing harder hitting attacks in exchange for a slower speed.

    • @nated4237
      @nated4237 Год назад

      At least thats my way of interpreting it without a real in game explanation of what happens lol

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  Год назад

      That's fair, but again, the weight and damage of the saber are what cause it to not make sense. The lightsaber cuts through anything that isnt lightsaber resistant, and every stance is using the same lightsaber. Swinging it harder won't do anything, and there's no weight related reason Cal can't just swing it at a normal speed. It's a gameplay style that was added to round out the combat mechanics, whether or not it made any actual sense for behaving the way it does.

      @@lonewolfex well using that logic you can make all of star wars not make sense. Lightsaber blade length can be adjusted so why dont users just make the longest blade possible and poke from distance? Blades cut anything so why arent kyber crystals used in blasters etc to make them pierce anything? Thinking about it too much ruins most fantasy settings.

    i don’t know if it is just me but i had absolutely zero bugs with the game and i am great full

      Good for you, thats great. Funny thing is, for the first few hours, pretty much same. The game only went downhill the longer I played it, but my first impressions were pretty solid. It was only after I saw multiple videos talking about how badly the game released that I realized I was an outlier.

    Haven't seen one of those bugs you're pointing out. Playing on PS5. Works fine, and I'm having plenty of fun with it. Way better than the last 3 full featured movies.

      George Lucas said in an interview that there would never be an episode 7, and there would never be another movie surrounding Luke, Han and Leia. Even if someone else wanted to do them. Gotta say, I completely agree.

    14:52 u can after finishing the game unlock extra perks like extra damage to friendlies and foes and that does jedi survivor a bit more realistic

    I dont think you’re understanding Cal and Merrin’s final dialogue…
    For the first game, the novel, and parts of this one the two of these characters are awkward and won’t just express how they feel and be together so when cal says he can’t go back to the way things were and Merrin agrees they are agreeing that they can’t go back to this off-on, awkward game their playing and will just commit to each other. I don’t know why you couldn’t understand that?

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  Год назад

      Because them not going back to will-they-wont-they goes without saying, and bringing that up again means that Cal is still dwelling on it as a possibility. They concluded that story arc when they finally got together. For Cal to then go to Merrin and say "Yeah, about us. I can't go back to the way things were between us," and then talk about how things are complicated, means there is still uncertainty and a lack of commitment. Because once the commitment has been made, the conflict goes away, and it ceases to be complicated. There shouldn't be anything to bring up regarding their past, which means one of two things. Either something ELSE happened since the conclusion of that story arc that throws the resolution back into the air, or they're referencing a need to avoid a relational conflict that isn't a conflict anymore, and it's just poorly written because it implies that somehow the conflict still exists.

      @@lonewolfex yeah I don’t know man. Sorry I just see it differently. I don’t know what to say. I think it might just be left to be an agree to disagree moment! Like for me I think of course there is always going to be conflict their both trying to survive and being peace and justice in a Galaxy where they are hunted!

    • @mrzman150
      @mrzman150 Год назад

      @@lonewolfex I saw it as them understanding each other on how their lives gotten a lot more complicated and they need to stick together no matter what their relationship is. With them having lost Bode, Cere and Eno basically at the same time, it leaves them having to pick up the pieces of jedha, starting the temple, hiding from the empire, and taking care of Kata while still grieving over what happened.

    the game is great. having to deal with 15fps galaxy map and 20fps main base isn't, and has an effect on user experience

    • @lonewolfex

      Exactly. If the game werent buggy at all, they'd really just need to polish up the facial animations a bit. Then it'd be just as good, if not better, than Fallen Order.

    Great effort on vid, I think reviewers need to know they can say positive things and no one will judge you. LOL A lot of these points are someone trying to downgrade the game, lol dude doesn't even do well trying to make fair points very clear hater vibes to "sound smart?" still the effort is good and PC bugs for sure a big issue, I think most are fixed now? Really bad take on darth vader, Example rogue one is one of the best films in star wars and its a between story. jedi survivor also might be the best star wars game ever. the cere ending was powerful and amazing experience.

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  Год назад

      I never say anything for fear of being judged. Anything I say prior to the subjective section I say purely out of analysis, or because it's just factually true. Also, I brought up Rogue One in the section about Vader and Cere, so I'm not sure whether you skipped that, or missed the point. The point had nothing to do with Rogue One's quality as a film; the point was exclusively that, because it takes place immediately before episode 4, the ending of Rogue One couldn't conflict with the beginning of A New Hope.
      In the same way, we know that Darth Vader can't ever be defeated or in any real danger, because he dies in Return of The Jedi. Hense why Fallen Order treats Vader as a force of nature, rather than a boss. The moment he was turned into a boss, you knew the fight would end in one of two ways.
      Either the character fighting him escapes, and his presence didn't do anything other than "Darth Vader is cool, let's put him in," or the character fighting him is almost definitely going to die, which means the death had no tension behind it because it was completely expected.
