    Start with the Pro4X trim. Very important. You need that rear locker.

    This truck is one of the few vehicles left if not the only vehicle that you can damage and literally take to any shop to get fixed. Now days you ever to take cars to the dealership

    If it ain't broke don't fix it. The Frontier is a great truck! So tired of that old comment. Lol

    first and foremost is suspension for lift/articulation and weight capacity, second is wheels and tires for traction, last but not least is bar work( bumpers, skid plates, rock sliders). Recovery gear should be in every vehicle by default, winches arent too expensive to get so once you have a good bumper mount a winch.

    Frontier Pro-4x models have Diff Lock. It's on my 2011, my buddy's 2012, and it's still on the 2019 as I recently saw one at the local dealer that has it. I think it was available as an option on SV models as well. I can't imagine this one featured in the video all modded out not having it. Either she missed the easy to find button, under the climate controls area, or whoever built this version didn't start with the right Frontier.
    For the record I've found the Frontier to be a great truck, in factory Pro-4x form. On and offroad. Throw your camping gear in the back under a bed cover and you can have a great offroad 'excursion.' Although, the bells and whistles shown are pretty cool.

      If you're looking for a first-time off-roader experience you don't need to buy something kitted out like this literally any small or midsize truck what's four wheel drive will get the job done probably for cheaper also never accept advice from Roadshow do research the reputable sources because this is not one

    • @NaritasanStudios
      @NaritasanStudios 4 года назад +1

      1995 Jeep ZJ, $1700. "Overland" and sleep in the back in a sleeping bag instead of a $1500 cold windy tent. Bring for a cooler with ice like normal people. $40 bottle jack instead of widow maker

      @@axeamaniac4490 dont get me wrong the pro4x is an amazing truck from the factory but if you're going to build an all purpose vehicle for overlanding anyways you can get an older model and have more of a budget to build it better than the factory.
      To each their own though so get what you like and build! Either way hope to see you on the trails someday. Cheers!

      Mainly for those who want to go places where a trailer can't go. But even then I'd pitch a tent so I could still have the truck available to drive around.

      Let's see, Frame rot issues versus having a fully boxed off frame. Seems like a no brainer to me for any actually hard core Offroader. The taco does have its upsides such as being more modern, but value wise, you can't beat the frontier

    • @lilbraveification
      @lilbraveification 4 года назад +3

      Tacoma has a low bed depth. Not much you can haul with that bed. Frontier is the way to go.
