you can do this, put the person down, then press control another character, before it fully change character quickly look at the person at ground and click pick up... this way you can ride the mount and the tribeman will carry another tribesman.
Lil tip for 2:50 mark. You can completely skip the respawn window if you interact with the person you were aiming at after you ragdoll from respawning and control them. This way you don't need to find whichever tribesmen via the map. You will just jump straight into them.

Your 'lower level enemies' tip is good, but I usually instead make sure my char has only a shield equipped and block their incoming attack and then punch them with fists (not gauntlets). This controls the damage given AND also levels up my shield skill on the character that was brought to the barracks to recruit new minions. Leveling up shield skill is always slower than the rest of my weapon skills due to how much more weapons are used than shield.
I also do this and when I know even a punch could potentially kill the thrall before I'm able to deter them, I hack them with a butcher's knife. Using the knife deals less damage than a punch. lol
You missed one. When exploring new uncharted areas that I may or may not be strong enough to defeat, I use my created character and have the tribesman I want to use follow me to the area. Drop a campfire and control the tribesman leaving my start character right there. If I die, I can use it to gather my stuff, so I don't lose my valuable pixels. Then when I get back to the base remodel the tribesman.
Make sure you take off your good armor and put anything you don't want to lose in a box if you are going to let your character die when you are AFK. After 30 minutes it's gone.
@@Jinz-re2hh yeah, I had a base right near a medium pit with lvl 25 black panthers around, I was only 15 minutes into AFK smelting 2 hours worth of copper when a Jaguar/Panther must have gotten in and killed me, when I went back 2 hours later my gear was gone because of the 30 min timer. I think if we could make an altar to sacrifice a tribesman on, like in the barracks, in order to save a perk from that sacrificed tribesman and give it to another tribesman would be cool. Then we could possibly make a perfect tribesman. RNG for perks is fine but no way to manipulate their perks is odd. After deterring 100 ppl and RNG and what level they are hiding their final form, seems like a new mechanic is needed
@@seamusoconaill8265 ya, I agree, one or two maybe and the consumable to accomplish it should be really expensive. I think the real issue is the 50 skill cap with nothing unique outside of respawnable. As someone said in another video if they had your main character have some sorta chieftain ability maybe like craft a throne as long as they are on it all characters in the area get a worker buff people would be satisfied. I dont mind it at the end of the day. But I do understand the complaints. It probably would have been better if your starting character didn't have set stats and was just random like everyone else. Make it rng. Interested to see how they alter this in the future.
You can also double-craft (passive manual and crafting table). If you have a bunch of vines in your inventory to craft thick rope and then control another character, the 1st char will continue to craft passively(this includes MC). While your manually crafting, you can also go on a loom to craft rope on it as well. I had my alchemist passively make purified poison while doing alchemy table work.
I think there is an opportunity for them to re-work the "Character" creation. Instead of focusing on what your first rando looks like, they could focus on the mask. Maybe there's a couple dozen pre-defined shapes in various categories: Brow, Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Hair/Feathers, Horns etc. They could get away from 3 archetypes this way, and really open up the customization of the different attributes; It would definitely make each tribe's mask unique and I think that's a good thing. People are very hung up on the "this is my main character and I want him to be OP by endgame" and I think this misconception is in part due to character customization at game start. They're simply a body for the mask to interface with as avatar for game-sake. They're meant to be Average Joe because this incentivizes gathering and recruiting tribespeople with different specialties and thinking as the tribe collectively and not just a single player, ala Conan Exiles.
you don't want your main character crafting, they will do much worse than a crafter, your max crafting give one bonus, you can get 4 bonuses on a follower.
