The 2021 Cadillac Escalade brings a complete refresh to the GM flagship luxury SUV, and after spending a couple days with a Platinum trim version, I am so impressed. The recipe has stayed essentially the same, this is an enormous vehicle that just delivers more of everything. The exterior has been updated to be more modern, with some awesome welcome light animations. The inside is where the next level features show up. Industry first curved OLED infotainment screens, a crystal clear 36 speaker AKG Studio Reference sound system, rear entertainment touchscreens, high quality materials, heated - cooled - massage front seats, the list just goes on and one. With adaptive air suspension, magnetic ride dampers, a 6.2L V8 making 420 horsepower, 10 speed automatic transmission and available 4WD, the Escalade is also great to drive. Indeed GM is back. The c8 is an italian-supercar killer and this Escalade represents what Cadillac should be: luxury but with an americana vibe and feel to it. Im from europe but both these cars are killers.

I love my 2009 Escalade with 46,000 miles but wouldn’t turn this down! Beautiful. Mine has the 6.2 engine.
I wouldn't trade my 2009 esv especially when the hubby added upgrades ppl think I'm driving a 2014

Pretty incredible. I'd be worried about longevity and reliability with all those bells and whistles. The engine is a tank, but all that technology is itching to give headaches. Nice video!
Modern Cadillacs are not known for longevity and durability. GM has gone downhill in a big way.

GM can do it right sometimes. This new Escalade could use some more chrome IMO, but I like everything else.
I think the ones thing you might have forgotten to mention is the lift gate also has a separate rear window lift. So you don't always have to open the entire lift gate, just the glass itself.
I personally think this is better than the german counterparts

2014 escalade is 30-40k
It's guaranteed to depreciate at least $45,000 and more in 5 years. Toyota rules lonegtiviry and resale values. GM... not so much no matter how hard they try.

With respect of course, I think that the camera view inside is distracting. I have seen Audi cars interior, and instead of having camera screen from the front of the car while driving, you have a really good gps. Everything else about it great. I have never owned a Cadillac, but the one feature I like about Cadillac suv, is the rear brake light design. Just the shape of it, or style.

This interior needs to make it's way into the CT5, particularly the V series...its honestly the only reason I'm waiting to lease one. But I'm not sure how Cadillac can achieve that given that the CT5 starts at $37k...that Escalade interior is just too good for the lower price point...it would have to be a minimum $60k sedan to get something close to that quality

Had to make sure I was seeing correctly when I saw Buffalo Grove. I live right by there. My dads looking to buy either this or the Lincoln Navigator black label L. I like the look of the Lincoln a lot more but the tech in the caddy is so much better.
We were about to order a Navigator a few months ago until we saw the redesigned 2021 Escalade. This vehicle and it's technology was a no-brainer decision to go with the Escalade!

The diesel get 27 mpg highway so there is that. If Audi and everyone else can share a shifter or button why is it horrible for Cadillac? You can sit ina Bentley or Lamborghini and see Audi VW parts. People always get me with that. You even said can the features trickle down. Well when they do you complain that it's in lower cars. They can't win.
Even the new S Class has shared plastic turn signals from the lower end benzs as well.

These higher end vehicles with all of those high tech options should contain an extra source of power. Most of the batteries die down drastically in less than 20K miles from my experience.
