For being out of the box. That thing can really rip. Excited to see what it does after you do some mods on it? Keep rocking out these awesome videos 👍👍. And thanks again. 🙏🙏
I just picked up a like new ms250 for a good price, I bought a ms250 as my first saw 20 years ago, I should not have sold it but i got fresh one from the factory! Anyone who’s had a 025 or ms250 can tell you they rip thru wood!!!
I bought an ms250 for my replacement of a makita dcs520i that I've had for years. I'm really happy with it,even in stock form with a stihl chisel chain and 18" bar. I also run a ms441c and ms310,but the older I get the heavier they feel, lol. Most of my firewood is red oak or maple and no bigger than 22" in diameter so the ms250 will cut about 90% of what I need.
My neighbor gave me his 2005ish MS250C (toolless tension adjustment) after I felled and sawed up some trees on his property at his request. He was disgusted with his MS250C. It would not hold a chain tension setting and after it threw a chain he was afraid of it. I cleaned it up (removed about 6 ounces of oil soaked sawdust with brushes and dental picks in the bar channel, clutch cover and throughout). I replaced the 16" bar and chain with an 18" and it is a real workhorse. Prefer my 15% more powerful Husqvarna 353 e-tech for felling trees but the MS250C is a great downed tree finishing and branching aid. I think the stock Stihl chains cut better than the stock Hus'. But proper manual sharpening evens that difference. The Stihl "safety" flanges on the chain limit tip plunge cutting (I have 18" bars on both machines and sometimes fell large trees that require a plunge into the notch) that the Husqvarna chains do not suffer. I really like them both . . . but I wish Stihl would open their fly and sell through outlets instead of only dealers. I have no local Stihl dealer (closest one - 20 miles away - closed shop two years ago). I can get Husqvarna parts all over at box stores and the internet.
Evening popa, I just bought another ms 250 on sale 379 dollars. Have one from six years ago and still very strong 💪 running and high compression. Great little ripping buger. 🙏 you have a great one sir😊❤🦅🦅🦅🙌😉
