I just started a new job in an industrial paint shop two weeks ago and while I never thought I would end up being an industrial painter, I really love it so far!
@@Awsometurtle20 I had 3 years experience in an auto body shop as a helper and found a job as a helper in a warehouse paint shop and to my luck the painter quit a month after I started just randomly one day on lunch lol and we had load that had to go and I stepped up an took over and started painting without asking no I'm the Painter 😂
Just make sure its a good shop that replaces your masks and filters we industrial painters have a low life expectancy 65 is the the norm dependant when you started and how safe you were you will no Matter what get paint in your lungs
Congratulations! That sounds like an exciting new journey for you and I'm glad our video could help make the transition a little easier. We appreciate the feedback! Let us know if there are other painting tips and tricks you'd like to learn!
Hi doing a good masking job is always key to go along with a perfect paint job! With regards to masking do you think if you had a masking tape dispenser you could wear on either hip that it would make your masking jobs easier and faster?
Hey Jonathan! Pretty much any auto store's paper will work well. Of course, 3M is best but it depends on the job you're looking to do and how much you're looking to spend. Tape is the more important element because that's what's going to ensure your paper doesn't move on you. We use yellow 3M tape, and there are all different widths you can use both for those tapes and the masking paper! I hope that helps - feel free to kick us any more questions you have and thank you for following along!
Thank you, Douglas! We use Omni MX190 which is a PPG Product. Hope that’s helpful! Feel free to reach out if we can answer any other questions or support in any way!
Hey Michael! Just wanted to let you know that our guys are coming back soon with a new video dropping later this week! We know people have been itching for more repair videos!
Amazing job… if I may ask why do you guys use gravity guns instead of pressure cup guns that can hold more paint and easier to maneuver on tight spots or upside down… not trying talk shit it’s just that I’ve painting heavy equipments well for almost 20 years now and I’ve only use gravity guns for touch ups
Thank you! Absolutely, your question is totally valid. For us, we use gravity guns or pressure pots based on the specific job and the preference of the painter for that job. Oftentimes we are working on scaffolding, and the gravity guns are easier for certain techs to maneuver when working up and down that scaffolding. Again, it depends for us on the specific job type. I hope that helps explain a little bit what our take is on gravity guns and painting! Let us know if we can help in any other way as well!
If you have any local trade schools, that’s a good place to start! Some industrial painters have college or masters degrees, but others can do so with a high school degree or GED!
Painting is definitely something that's easy to get into and learn but takes a lifetime to master! Our guys started aprinticing and worked their way to where they are now. Good luck in your endeavors! Thanks for watching and we hope you have a great day!
Sometimes pressure pots are more efficient in many situations. We have used them in the past. It's more efficient for us to use hvlp guns opposed to pressure pots because we don't use as much material and we don't have waste cleaning lines. Thanks so much for watching our videos Tre and hope you have a great day!
Great job guys! Have you tried using a small pressure pot, and back feed at clean up to save on clean up solvent? Good job and video. Thanks for sharing. JohnG
If your painting industrial you dont use a cup gun and paint sticks dont have a sealer on them, the chemicals in commercial paint would make any type of wood sealer break down
you dont even talk about the type of paint that should be used on heavy equipment. you only talked about the common sense paint tips. nothing special to see here.

The fuck do you mean industrial painting doesn’t use a cup gun. And plastic stirring sticks are more common anyways.
Airspraying?? 1 kg plus in your hand all day?? Please switch to airmix or airless. Much easier and faster as an additional advantage.
молодцы
im getting high just watching this
these guys look high off paint fumes
Do NOT actually use the Thompson Water Seal “Trick” 😂 I repeat DO NOT USE WATER SEAL ON YOUR STIR STICKS
