This company need to understand what an absolute treasure Mike is. More people like Mike are what's needed. A vault of information, happy to share, happy to be honest.
Mike is like your grandad who could sit for ages telling you stories about the days when they did all this great stuff while a roast dinner was cooking on a Sunday with the rest of the family...the world could do with a few more Mikes!
What a great guy Mike is, I honestly hope this video reaches someone who needs this company's services and helps them out. They know they will be dealing with a great set of employees 👍
Possibly the most profession company personel you have ever covered . Even the first guy was understandably on his guard but still very pleasant . A very enjoyable enlightening interaction and on Mike's persona alone , I wish the company all the very best .
Mike is an absolute darling 🥰🥰 anyone who employs him will have a gem of an employee. Don't worry Mike, we're not all eco nutters and I'm hopeful the business picks up. You are an absolute wonder Mike. Never change lovely 💜
What a great guy Mike was, such a shame the works just not there at the moment. All the best to his company and great overview of the drilling facility.
Mike is a great example of how to deal wioth a member of the public whom is interested in your business . Spot on mate . Very nice gentleman, fairly open and seems to be straight and honest with you . NOw if more would take his example and run with it the world would be a much more pleasant place . Cheers .
What a smashing chap at the end and fingers crossed they can dig some work up from somewhere seem great guys , nice video to see at that poor drilling equipment not being used , fingers crossed for them great video DJ
Mike seems like a top bloke. How sad to see his business in limbo like that 😢 30 yrs ago I was a Roughneck on similar platforms to those in the North Sea and we are going to honestly rue the day when these businesses get shut down 😢😡 Respect Mike 🫡
Nice to see a video without confrontation. Both guys were professional, first guy probably wasn't sure what he could or couldn't say but Mike was straight forward. Hope things improve for them soon 👍
This is really heart breaking. My father worked in the North Sea on Alpha and Brent in the 70's. He also worked on the gas pipeline that runs right through our entire country now void of gas in the late 70's early 80's. We are all freezing because of net zero but it's ok to purchase the oil and gas from overseas at a ridiculous inflated price. We have it all here, so much of it we can sell the surplus. Our MP's have loaded themselves with personal stocks and share in foreign Gas & Oil companies, they would not want to open our sites, it would hurt their bank balance. WAKE UP YOU SHEEP ! Just STOP the Just Stop OIL TARDS !
Brilliant interaction with both employees, especially Mike Brown. I am sure they were just being cautious with you after all the recent contraversy etc. I am sure they will soon return to normal business and be sucessful again. Very interesting plant equipent, it must be worth its weight in gold in the right hands. Great to see your still doing Colwick Industrial estate DJ. Cant wait to see what you found for tomorrows video. Well done
I really wish people would be properly educated on the pros and cons of hydraulic fracturing. With proper legislation and governance we wouldn’t be reliant on foreign oil and gas and with deep well geothermal we would negate the need for nuclear and become energy independent again.
@@spacehopper77 It took over 10,000 wells in the US Eagle Ford Shale to reach commerciality. Fracking has been going on for over a hundred years - the reason it isn't happening in the UK is purely technical. There is no money to be made from fracking here, unless you are a snakeoil salesman and are happy hoovering up a few bucks from gullible investors. But then you are well educated, so the rest of us (with skin in the game) must be thick.
As always I love you're attitude to those people you meet. I watch these videos because it is interesting seeing things that you just aren't really aware of. Hopefully you'll explore Glasgow at some point so I can get one of your coveted key ring :)
All the best Mike, you are a star and what is happening here is a damn disgrace. I hope things get sorted so you can get back to work doing the amazing work you should be.
You know I actually felt a bit sorry for Mike the manager who is a lovely man getting grief for trying to earn a living digging holes 🕳️ and was understandably concerned but still maintained a respectful and friendly demeanour … old school rocks!! 🎉
Mike could do a "fred dibner" type presentation for the oil and gas industry in the UK. He makes an excellent representative for BDF. From 1973 until 2013 I worked on similar units on 5 continents.
Mike was a lovely guy and i hope business gets better, This Country needs fracking because it just makes financial sense more than absolutely anything else.
Nice to see a company with polite management, even the first guy was a bit disturbed by the Fragging word lol, but a company like that does deserve some work to make them survive
Interesting video. Mike acted very professionally in what must be really worrying times for the business. Let’s hope that things pick up and that we don’t lose yet more valuable UK civil engineering skills. Hope this video helps to dispel some of the misguided rumours about what the company are involved with 😌
Top bloke Mike. I hope their business gets through. The U.K. needs to be energy independent again and if that means some fracking in the short term then I say get on with it. We know nothing of the damage that our imported energy sources are reeking on their local environment.
Nice guys. Interesting as well. I wish more companies would share what they do and what makes them unique. I’d think that businesses would love to brag about themselves given how much $ they spend on PR and adverts.
This was a brilliant interaction and place too. We're looking at the last of the fossil fuel industry and as much as people may hate it, it's a reminder of how we did things. Show this video to someone in 20 years and they will be in awe
While they watch it on their latest tablet made from oil and gas based products… Don’t be fooled the worlds oil and gas industry is going nowhere. Yes we may stop burning the stuff for fuel but plenty of other reasons for hydrocarbons that’s not fuel related.
Mike you are the man. Only wish others could follow your example. If I was the person in charge I'd definitely think about branching out to over sees offering my services as cheep as possible to keep my equipment working, that means my staff to. But that is only my opinion. DJ super video, intuitive and witty, always a pleasure.
Quite sad to see a company with such serious, high tech abilities, and capable engineers struggling to survive. Decent, intelligent, civilised people too. I really hope you you find a way back to prosperity. Good luck.
Being this company drills holes , would you describe this video as a ' boring ' video? Lol. Only jesting bud , your videos are never boring. Keep up the good work , it's appreciated and very entertaining. Thankyou.
I think most large organisations have a policy regarding contact with photographers, or people wanting information. I worked for the Brisbane City Council in Brisbane, Australia and anyone who wanted to have cooperation from employees in recording and acquiring information etc required written approval from our divisional manager. It was more a case of ensuring the right person for the information and access required than anything else.
Agreed, but in other videos D J tells the police or other certain people it’s illegal to fly a drone while being spoke to, different standards for some reason, i just don’t get it🧐🤔
A yard of amazing stuff and a great manager. I do have an electric bike for sunny days. I'm not planning on pushing my car any time soon, so keep drilling for oil.
Big thumbs up 👍 to Mike hopefully things change for this company they deserve some good times we need this country to use these people to help supply our own energy and not buy from other countries
Followed you for a while now, love the channel. You ask a lot of questions but you cut it when he asked you about how much it pays! How much does it pay? 🤣
Hi, I recently subscribed. I like your style of doing these videos. Your polite until they are rude to you. Some auditors on RUclips are rude and patronising right from the start. It was good seeing your chat with the 2nd guy. There are still some decent people in this world. Not many, but some 😂 I admire your motivation to travel to these places as well. It makes for interesting viewing. Keep up the good work. You seem like a great guy 👍

Mike is a quality guy, he did his company proud.
Mike, I hope things pick up, it's such a shame to see a UK company so quiet. Very skilful work that we need to keep in the UK.
Really good, well balanced audit. A masterclass in how it's done. The manager was first class in the way he dealt with you too.
Well done Mike, a true gentleman.

Good stuff Mike! Nice to see a polite and helpful guy on an audit!
Well done Mike. You represented your company very well. Thanks for the explanation.
Mike was very nice even the first guy let you get on with it

Thanks for the chat, Mike.
You are a great representative.
About time we start drilling for oil and gas again here in the UK.
Yes, but ideally no fracking.

Proper old school British engineering company, you can tell Mike has put his life into that business and is sad that it's coming to an end
