This is very interesting. And upsetting! I would have never thought there should be a difference by where it is made. If LV is putting their name on it, quality should be the same across the board. I would not let the availability of this product determine if you return them. It is unacceptable, period. They will find you new pieces without a problem. Trust me. We need to hold these brands to the quality control that they charge us for! The prices go up while the quality goes down. NOT OK!
Totally agree!! Especially now that I’ve had some time to think it over! I ordered new key pouches and the new ones do not have the seam issues. Super strange! Thanks for your input.
I totally agree with you, I think lately their quality is going down. Was thinking about buying one and now I do not think I will. I should not have to worry about if the tiny pouch is going to be well made or not for my $215 😑
Totally agree! I ended up returning after filming this and thinking it over. Could not get over the quality issues. Ordered 2 new pouches and luckily they were much better quality! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thanks for this video .. my monogram key pouch that I bought years ago is quality.. I decided to pick up another one (monogram )recently and although it is made in France the quality doesn’t compare!! They have definitely cheapen the brand .. the demand is so high for LV I think they feel they can get away with it. I think if we really want to see quality return to their products.. we all must send them a letter/note explaining this is unacceptable for the prices they charge...that the quality doesn’t merit the price. Unfortunately so many people don’t know the quality has changed and therefore accept the present quality. They make billions.. it’s a shame they take advantage of people who are unaware of this.
I recently ordered 3 of these in the Damier Ebene on line within the last 3 months. They were made in US, they had a bad odor and you could see right through them. Over the years I have gifted and owned these pieces, they were made in France. They were perfectly stitched. I went into the store to return and luckily the SA had just received a shipment from France and I was able to exchange. The stitching was perfectly sewn tight. I would return.. That is not acceptable from any designer...
The quality is HORRENDOUS. I would save my money and return the made in USA. This convinces me now more than ever that there is a quality difference. I will no longer be buying items made here...not worth the money! Great review, thanks for the heads up!
Through the years, I’ve had a total of 3 different key pouches in the monogram pattern and every single one happened to be made in France! I never had an issue getting my hands on one until this past year when I decided to replace my old one. When I picked it up, I noticed that I could see through the stitching. It honestly didn’t bother me much so I kept it. So far, I haven’t noticed the spaces get any bigger and my key pouch still looks pristine, even though it gets thrown around a lot!
I’m happy to hear that you haven’t had any issues with yours! Makes me feel a little better. As long as it’s functional and you love it that’s all that matters! ❤️ Thanks for watching.
Louis Vuitton has been using cheaper canvas for years. They up the price and use cheap materials that is ridiculous. I would return them if they are a little bad in time they will probably get worse with wear.
I don’t understand all the negative hype around these LV pieces. Clearly you’ll be able to see some light come through the bottoms. It’s the way they’re sewn. They’re not glued nor have a lining. There’s nothing wrong with your cles. Use them and enjoy them . And yes I absolutely think there’s a lot of nit picking over these cles lately. They’re made the same way they’ve always been made the only difference I noticed was the canvas being softer and more pliable. Yes you can see some light through the stitching but as long as they’re sewn tightly there should be no problem. I’ve had mine for many many years with lots of use and not one stitch has come undone. As far as where they’re made I don’t think makes a difference in the quality. The materials used to make LV bags and slgs all come from the same places ,they’re just assembled in different countries I think it’s more about the individual or individuals who are assembling theses pieces and their level of expertise in putting them together that makes the difference. I have many pieces from all over and thankfully I’ve had no issues in their quality. Now that’s not to say that there hasn’t been lots of issues with many of their pieces but I feel like some people are expecting perfection from items that are being made by imperfect people. Personally unless there’s an obvious problem I buy and put to good use my luxury items and don’t stress over it. It takes away the joy of having such nice things. Just enjoy em. Otherwise why buy them??
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I think it's good to hear different opinions on this. My main concern is that the looser seam may come further apart with daily use- and I definitely agree they should be used! It's mainly the Damier Ebene version of the 3 in this video that I am concerned about. But- its good to know you have had positive experiences with these items. I do hope they all hold up or at least that LV would repair that seam for anyone who purchased these if anything did go wrong in the future.
Just received my key pouch & it’s made in the USA & has the see through at the bottom but not as bad as yours is. I don’t think I’ll be returning mine just because it was so hard to get
I have noticed this is a frequent RUclips video issue concerning the cles. The videos focus on this seam being a quality issue. I have all three canvas cles that I purchased and have used since January 2015. I switch them out to match my canvas LV bags with the Monogram cles as my most used. It was made in France along with my Damier Azur. My Damier Ebene is made in the US. The Monogram and the Ebene both show light through the bottom seam. The Azur (again the 2015 piece) does not. I have had zero issues with any of my three canvas cles. I carry keys/key fob and cards in them. I have recently purchased all three canvas cles (since January as they have become available) for graduation gifts. Looking at these, the Ebene and Monogram are US made and the Azur is made in France. All three show light in the bottom seam but look and open/close just fine. I don’t think this is really a poor quality issue.
Thanks for sharing your experience!! I am new to LV so I really wasn’t sure if it was normal or not. Mainly I was worried that they would pull further apart with wear. Glad to hear yours have held up well! I ended up exchanging mine since I was concerned. I appreciate your input!
I bought all three this year and all made in the USA. I was very shocked at the stitching and quite frankly disappointed to say the least. I decided to keep all 3 and will most likely sell them to either brake even or make a little profit. I'm planning on traveling to Paris next year and plan on buying some there.
Thanks for sharing!! I ordered 2 new Damier pouches after making this video and the seams on the new ones look great. So strange. But, buying in Paris is probably your best bet! 😊
Hi there ! I live in Canada and all my LV stuff is made in France except my Azur cles , it’s made in the USA ... after watching this video I raced up and down my stairs 3X to check the issues you talked about . Mine is not see thru on the stitch line and the rivets are gold ! 💦💦💦 Your channel is awesome !
I finally managed to order the monogram print key pouch a few days ago and have yet to receive it through the post. I’m praying it’s made in France so that there’s not quality issues 🙏🏼
I just inbox a key cles in Damier Ebene and I am so disappointed. It is made in the USA. It’s ok for me if it’s made in the USA but I could see the stitching and I could feel the corner rough and like a rubbing on the corner 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ for the price I pay.. it is going back! Glad I saw your video. I am new to LV but this is not what I was expecting. Thanks for sharing
I got the DA and was so excited to get it but upon inspection the quality was so underwhelming. The stitching at the bottom did show the light like yours did. The canvas was very malleable and felt very cheap. So I returned it and got a 6 key ring holder and I’m so happy I did. The SA tried to say that it wasn’t a quality issue like ok 🙄 if I’m paying $270 before tax on canvas it better be impeccable.
Wow thank goodness for this video! I bought my first one at the store today unknowing of the issues. Mine is thankfully made in France and looks good like yours in monogram. I hope you returned the others, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing k spent so much on horrible quality
I would exchange the Damier Azur for a newer one in a better condition just because the base of the canvas seems like it indents in a funny way, closer towards the right side (as shown in the video).
I noticed that when watching the video back! The pattern of the canvas is also slightly misaligned on the bottom edge. I think I will be returning it. Thanks for your advice!
I have been thinking about purchasing this key pouch and I am soo glad I saw this video before purchasing online ! Definitely something look out for if you are paying $$$ for these luxury brands , thank you for uploading !
Hi, Like you I am building my collection and started at the bottom of the spectrum with the small leather goods. I searched for the USA and France made key pouches on RUclips and to my dismay the quality of the made in USA is sad, as you put your hand over bottom I pulled out mine and saw it was the same thing. Yes, the cost might be minimal, but for the brand they can do better. I think I might be taking mine back as well.
Thank you for watching and for your input!! I totally agree. I ended up exchanging both of the damier pouches for ones without seam issues. I realized it would drive me crazy forever if I kept them.
Oh ya, I bought Pouchette Métis Reverse Mono, last week. I Looked at 2 USA bags, horrible glazing as in bulging out and one side of one of the flaps was sewn 3mm higher than the other side, totally crooked, not at all aligned. I decided not to buy. I called LV store until I was able to get one made in Italy, I love it and I think it’s as good as one from France.
I also recently purchased a reverse PM and it was made in Italy. It is absolutely beautiful!! It seems the Italy and France pieces have great quality control compared to some USA items. Thanks for watching! Congrats on your new bag!
I just got my cles after stalking the website for around a week. It's from France. The stitchings great and the canvas is nice- no light seeps through. However, the zipper sticks a bit. I think the quality of LV has gone done a bit in recent years, I think that's the real issue.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Totally agree that it seems their quality is going down a bit recently. Which is unfortunate- hopefully they will take notice of customers comments and up their quality control. 👍🏻
I've watched so many comparison videos on this item and no one has mentioned about the difference in the screw colours and metal thickness. Wow, you really have good eyes! I bought mine from a trusted PS a few weeks ago and it is Made in Paris. Still in its box. Haven't used it as I'm planning to keep it until my birthday month. However, come to think of it, I think the stitching on my Cles is rather imperfect too (not as snug). Now I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed.. 😥
Thanks for watching!! It’s strange that we have to worry about quality issues from a luxury brand. I did end up returning the 2 with issues. Appreciate your input! I hope you can still enjoy your cles or possibly exchange if you are not happy with it! ❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox I was curious so I went ahead and opened the box once again to check the item. Held it in direct sunlight and thankfully there is no gap at the bottom! The only imperfection is the stitching around one corner which somewhat visible. But, it is not that obvious. Yay! Feels good to double check. Now it's back in its box again. 😄
Hi, I would return them. Quality is important to me for it being $210. I love my MIF key pouches and I own them in all canvases. I am not sure who is running the QA dept. in the US but they need to fix the problem. Quality shouldn’t be different no matter where it is made. Sadly, I couldn’t find MIF on the website but found them for retail on the Facebook group. TFS...I also luv your Tiffany’s collection. 😊
I have the damier abien (sorry for misspelling) made in US and same thing, there are gaps in the seam. The other issue is that mind had a terrible toxic odor! I laid a tissue inside and let it sit with baking soda to try and get it out. It’s better, but it’s pretty bad that LV makes toxic smelling products with other flaws for high prices.
Hi! I just get mine today! Very exciting after long waiting for 3months. Thanks for your video, so I can double check. Mine one is made in France, seam it is fine.
It's the stitching that got me right off the bat. The key ring I understand is a little strange as to why that is different. I feel like the hardware should come pre-made from France, standard. It could be a way off differentiating USA and France with the screw, but idk why that matters. I hope you ended up exchanging them for a credit or France ones. If not, maybe they held up well?
Thank you for your input! I did end up exchanging them and the new ones are much better quality. (One is made in France and the other USA- but none of the issues the pouches in this video had). Thanks for watching!!
I’ll have to check mine I own all three of these one is made in France the other two in USA. I did noticed a size difference in the pouches (but these are hand made) and I never thought to look inside the seems sure that would bother me a little. I would definitely keep them or check to see if LV got in more these are not as easy to get in boutiques or LV online. Good luck!
Thanks so much for your input! I ordered 2 new damier key pouches when they became available online again (one was France and the other USA) and the seams on both of the new ones look great. May have just been a certain shipment of pouches that had the seam issue. So strange!
I have the damier ebene print I purchased in February 2019 and I have been using it since it was bought! I had the monogram I had got back in January or so in 2018, but was stolen along with the rest of my purse. I believe I recall it was made in France, but back then I didn't pay attention to the seam. with the one I bought in '19, the stitching is the same way as yours though over a year and a half I have not noticed it getting any wider or showing any other concerns! It was made in the US I'm guessing, I am not at my apartment so I cant check the card that came with it but it does not say made in France on the inside
I read in a comment that you returned them! They are all still nice cles and noone would be able to tell the “defects” that you have pointed out but i doubt that the content is going to fall out because of the stitching and the light coming thru is not going to affect it either :). I am a LV collector and because of my experience with customer service I would’ve kept them and if anything would’ve failed on the cle then they would’ve replaced or exchanged even if outside of return time frame. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents, dont stress over the small things, trust me, people would not have been all over your cles wanting to see if there was light coming thru the bottom or if the corners didnt look perfectly rounded. But, yes, i know that many people are bothered by it because they themselves would know of the “defects”, but i wouldn’t. All are handmade. Not every craftsman has the same level of experience, not every item will ever look the same. I’m glad you were able to order your items though! Find your happy, right?! :) stay safe! Nice video! I would’ve kept them, but that’s just me!
Thank you for your input!! I totally hear you- I just couldn't get the open stitches out of my mind after posting this video. It really bothered me and I ended up ordering 2 new pouches that did not have that issue. Appreciate your view on this! Thanks for watching.
Even before you started comparing I knew that the monogram was made in France. The other two damier prints I can clearly see that the stiching is loose and the damier squares don’t even line up
My monogram cles is from 1989, MIF, and looks similar to your monogram piece, including the screw or rivet on the key ring. I can see light through the seam at the bottom though I’m not sure if that’s just how they make it or due to age/wear.
Thanks for sharing! The monogram cles I received looks pretty good I think- so I do plan on keeping that one. Interesting that you can see through your bottom seam though! I hope mine holds up as long as your vintage one has. ☺️
Awesome- I hope so too!! I think it's very hit and miss for the made in USA ones- but as long as the stitching looks good I would say keep no matter where it is made. Thanks for watching. ❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox I'm so disappointed. I got mine in today. The stitching is so visible. Is that even normal ? And the canvas doesn't line up properly.. And the hem cut isn't straight.
I bought monogram key pouch made in USA, stitching off and zipper kept getting stuck. I returned it got one made in France. Pouch is great but Monogram on both sides are not aligned, a few mm off. I’m keeping since I guess it could be worse. Their quality has gone to crap!
Their reply is usually no.. that they are a very difficult item to get in and they don’t know when they will get them in again before a price increase.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox i have the damier graphite coin purse (Made In France) till this day onwards wear & tear is still good nothing wrong with it , i also have a epi leather key holder in the red color (Made In Spain) still holds up well and my key holder is pre-loved i paid for it Sg $ 160 for it in singapore i only trust made in spain & france i don't trust made in usa , thank god you went to change it quickly Amen enjoy using your new babies yay yahoo yaaasss .
Omg my cles in Damier Ebene is coming tomorrow so I was super excited but after watching this video, I started worrying about it :-( Thanks for the heads up! It was very helpful! Hope mine is in good quality🤞🏻
Congrats on your new piece!! I returned the damier cles from this video and ordered a new one. The new one is perfect- so there is definitely hope that yours will be too! ❤️
Little Blue Jewelry Box Guess what! I’m returning mine........ Poor quality. T_T Mine was the same quality as yours from the video plus there was loose stitching..............
@@Woojoomom_FL On no!! I'm sorry to hear that yours had the stitching issue too. I must have gotten lucky with my second order. I hope you are able to exchange for a better quality one!
That’s interesting. I’ve never noticed a difference between the France vs the US pieces, but it is strange what you noticed about the seams. If I were dissatisfied, I would bring them back. I’m impressed that you were able to get all three.
Thanks Dawn! I have a made in USA bag and it’s beautiful- it may just be an issue with these pouches specifically? I’m not too sure. I had to check the website pretty often to find all 3 which is why I’m a bit hesitant to return them. Thanks for your input!
I have a USA monogram key pouch. The canvas feels a little dry, not smooth. I didn’t return it at the time. In the future I won’t purchase a USA item. I’d wait and look for one made in France or Spain.
I've seen so many made in US ones that are so poorly made. Edges are so uneven. Yours wasn't as bad but still noticeable. I'm glad I finally found 1 made in France and almost perfect
Hey ....just was able to get a hold of 2 DE within 3 days of each other. Both were made in the USA...both stitching is loose... I'm sad cause I have been trying to get them since before your video...ugh. I am going to return them both.... This is soooo frustrating! What did you end up doing?
Oh no!! I’m sorry you had the same issue. I ended up returning mine. I got lucky and was able to order 2 new ones and those came without the stitching issues. I guess it’s really a gamble when ordering the key pouches these days! I hope you are able to return or exchange yours!!
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox Thanks for replying....I am going to do the same cause now Its in the back of my mind. Hopefully I will be able to get some without the issues. Take care & I love your channel.
That ébène one is very defective. Return that. I just got the monogram today made in USA and it’s perfect. I got the ébène 10 years ago made in France and it was perfect.
I just got the mono one, made in USA and it has the same problem with the bottom stitching. Want to return but I’m afraid it won’t be in stock. Bought it from the website since my store is always out. It’s so hard to find this one.
That was my fear too- that I wouldn’t be able to find them again if returned. I did return 2 of the 3 and was able to order new ones from the LV site the next week. So it’s definitely possible to find them again! If you are not happy- I would return. But if you don’t mind the stitching and the item still makes you happy- then it’s totally up to you! ❤️ Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
Within the last 30 days I bought the monogram key pouch, and the damier ebene key pouch. The monogram one was made in the USA, and I'm returning it as soon as the stores open up for business. The stitching is terrible, and you can see through the bottom of it. The damier ebene one was made in France, and the quality is great. The stitching is excellent, and you can't see through the bottom of it. So I'm keeping that one. I refuse to deal with quality issues from Louis Vuitton, especially given the prices of their items. They should be providing quality products. They are known for their quality.
I'm not sure if the quality issues has to do with where the item was made. I just received mine today. It is monogram and made in France and I can see through and corners are not perfect either
I bought three last month and the same thing happened to me. Two of them were made in the US and one made in France. The one from France had tighter stitching. I also noticed the pouches made in the US and a very strong odor to them.
I saw you said you returned the Damier pieces and reordered and they were better. Were they made in France Spain or Italy? I just received my DE piece and really unhappy with it. Literally thee sides don’t even line up evenly! One side sticks out more than the other. I won’t keep made in USA ever. It’s discouraging me from buying online. Also, the pochette metis I got made in USA I returned. Same issue. Uneven gussets, crooked D rings. Such a joke!
I never understand where the lv sign needs to be at the begin or at the end brown square i.e brown checker one. Maybe front at the begin brown square and the back at the end brown square.
I just left a video and the lady was saying the same thing about the USA cleys,,She said that her Damier Ebene had a strong chemical smell and they sent hers with the ribbon just thrown in the box. This was her third return. You could also see through the bottom. I have started buying the older Louis Vuitton and just had them restored because they have started manufacturing in Texas, the quality sucks.. She also said that the LV from France was the best one...Return them and complain because every complaint we as LV buyers the State will look into it if they are ever investigated. The reason I am saying this is because I almost had to sue them over my restoration of a bag I got from France, I was charged for used goods and the sewing was awful, I was charged 655.00 for the restoration and they didn't even bother to put my bag in a dust bag nor store it properly, Sooo my attorney contacted their attorney and boy it was not pretty..People are not aware that Louis Vuitton has what the State calls Transparency laws because they are a high end Billion dollar company. I have considered filing a class action lawsuit against them because their QC is so poor. Quality Control sucks,,I have been buying Louis Vuitton for over 25 years and heard and watched horror stories and on top of that there customer service sucks as well. Needless to say,,I would return the two pieces immediately because they have been known NOT TO take piece's back. Signed only looking out for us Louis Vuitton lover🥰
Wow!!! That’s so unfortunate you had to experience that with your bag. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!! I did end up returning the 2 damier cles. I hope they listen to everyone’s feedback on these items! Thank your for watching ❤️
Hi does your key pouch made in France has a “made in France stamp”? I recently received my DE key pouch, it has an SD code, no made in France stamp, but the textile card does not say it’s made in the USA.
Hi there- yes. My made in France key pouches all have the "made in France" stamping on the inside below the Louis Vuitton Paris stamping. It is strange that your textile cards wouldn't match your pouch since SD is a USA date code.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox great review. Thanks for sharing! I recently purchased a LV Key Pouch in monogram. The "Louis Vuitton made in France" stamp is surprisingly faded and a bit hard to read... This is making me hesitant to keep it. Are the stamps on any of your faded and a bit hard to read or can you not relate? Thank you.
I just bought my first key cle & it’s so misaligned :(. I took it to the store near me and the guy was really rude and he said “I’m gonna show you something” and he pulled out like four other ones that look exactly like mine. In a very short tone he said “see they’re all the same…it’s how they are made”. It was clear he was not going to take the return. I think I’m going to return it through the mail. But maybe the ones he pulled out were also returns 🤷🏻♀️ I just feel like for the price I’m paying, it should look better. :( the Gucci one I bought looks sooooo much better! it’s sad, for a first purchase to have a sales associate be so rude. When he realized I was just there to return some thing he pretty much ignored me after that even though I was considering exchanging it for a perfume. Overall it was just a terrible experience.
You can see through mine and I’ve had it for almost 4 years, I use it everyday and I’m not careful and it hasn’t come apart rather the hardware is my issue
Yes you have the right to be picky at those prices! Made in europe is much better weather it is France or Italy .... The attention to detail in Europe is unbeatable! In France a person that is a waiter /waitress, example, takes pride in his job , it’s an art !!! Same goes for any craftsmanship profession . The western world has not grasped this concept of pride in what they do . So yes return items and only ask for made in France or Italy or any other European country !
I just bought two online, I am going to closely inspect them, and if I find imperfections I will return them. For the price on this little pouch I expect to be impressed with the quality. If I wanted a low quality piece I rather buy the replica 😄
Hi there- thanks for watching! I’ve noticed that some of the new 2020 DE items have red font. I purchased a mini pochette in DE that also has the red. I think it’s just a little detail meant to match the red interior lining. I don’t think it has any other significance but I do think the red is a cute detail! ❤️
lovely video, i purchased a damier cles a few months ago and i was so excited, once i opened it i was looking at it like wait something is not right. i was unhappy with how extremely thin it was, felt like paper, and the zipper wasn't that smooth to me either I returned it. when i noticed it was made in USA i was like omg, and ran to youtube and seen one video comparing the qualities as well.. we are not the only one. I just purchased a speedy 25b in mono crossing my fingers for made in France but i doubt it :-) thanks for sharing!
I don’t know what to do I guess they’re hard to come by but I wouldn’t want one made in the USA it would piss me off because they just don’t want to have to pay taxes to import here so if they’re gonna make them here they should be cheaper for us here
I mean I have a pochett metis made in the USA and people always ask me if it's fake 🙁 and I think it's because the canvas is less shiny! Apart from the fact that my glassing cracked 😭 I’ll never buy a USA LV luxury.
It is really just by chance. If you have a good relationship with a sales associate they may be able to source one for you but you can not specifically order a made in France item as far as I know.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox I get it. But no don't settle for something that before you have even used it you know its probably going too cause you a future problem.LBJ get your money back Don't fall into the hype iof having to have a item because it's now a rarity .
Honestly I ordered the monogram one on Valentine’s Day and I was hoping it was gonna be made in France since it was shipping from Ontario. Unfortunately mine was made here in the US and I can see in between the seams. I thought about returning the products but since they’re so rare to come around, I just kept it. Plus, no one else is gonna see the seams except for me
I feel the same way!! As long as it doesn’t compromise the longevity of the piece- I think I’m okay with it? Just a little strange! Thanks for sharing.
Hi. I just got mine this week. Was surprised to find it on the website. They’re always out of them. Mine is made in the USA and you can see through it also on the bottom. The canvas also looks kind of dull. Thinking of returning but I’m afraid they might not have any available. So hard to get the mono one. I also have the six key holder and that one is made in France and is perfect. I feel like you In that I’m the only one looking at it. Still thinking, but if I keep it I hope it holds up well. But really, for the price there shouldn’t be any issues with these pieces.
Totally agree!! I hope your pouch holds up for you OR you are able to exchange it if you decide to! I was able to return mine and purchase new ones. I did have to stalk the website again to get them though.
I ended up returning and ordering new ones. The new ones are sooo much better! One was made in France and another made in USA but no stitching issues on either. 😊
Little Blue Jewelry Box I just received my key pouch today and it was exact what you said.. thank you so much for your video if not I won’t be pay attention
Im from the UK and all my pieces are made in France. It is so unfortunate that made in US is so poorly made. They need to send staff over from France to make these.

Agree. Even McDonald’s can make Big Macs taste the same in many countries, why can’t LV have better quality control?
I would definitely return them! When paying that type of money for luxury I want what I paid for. Those are flaws are unacceptable!
Totally agree! I ended up returning after filming this and thinking it over. Could not get over the quality issues. Ordered 2 new pouches and luckily they were much better quality! Thanks for watching! ❤️

Right now a days the replicas are probably better quality 😆
Crazy, I could tell from the first shot that the middle was made in France. The others look larger and flatter somehow.
You have a good eye!! Strange how apparent the differences are.
Exactly. The ones in the USA were made by some of us who only got two weeks of training.
Me too. Also the shape is very different. Pieces from the USA are more round…
RETURN ASAP!!!...These items are tiny and expensive and should look that way. Forget about AVAILABILITY, quality/functionality is EVERYTHING!!!
The quality is HORRENDOUS. I would save my money and return the made in USA. This convinces me now more than ever that there is a quality difference. I will no longer be buying items made here...not worth the money! Great review, thanks for the heads up!
Totally agree! Thanks for watching!!
I would return them, it would bother me. They advertise great craftsmanship and for the price they should have better quality control.
Louis Vuitton has been using cheaper canvas for years. They up the price and use cheap materials that is ridiculous. I would return them if they are a little bad in time they will probably get worse with wear.
Thanks for your input! I ended up returning the 2 damier pieces. The new ones are much better.
I would definitely be returning the two made in the US. We work hard for our money and for the price I expect perfection, luxury items or not!
I totally agree! I ended up returning them both.
Hi there ! I live in Canada and all my LV stuff is made in France except my Azur cles , it’s made in the USA ... after watching this video I raced up and down my stairs 3X to check the issues you talked about . Mine is not see thru on the stitch line and the rivets are gold ! 💦💦💦
Your channel is awesome !
Thank you so much for watching!! Glad to hear that your cles are good quality!
I finally managed to order the monogram print key pouch a few days ago and have yet to receive it through the post. I’m praying it’s made in France so that there’s not quality issues 🙏🏼
I hope so too!
I’m happy to hear you got a good one!! I did end up returning and got new ones. Thanks for watching. ❤️
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for watching.
Totally agree!! Thank you so much for your input. I ended up exchanging the damier cles in this video. I am much happier with the new ones. ❤️
Mine had a bit of a smell when I got it too. It has gone away with use but it definitely is off putting! Thanks for sharing and for watching!
Hi! I just get mine today! Very exciting after long waiting for 3months. Thanks for your video, so I can double check. Mine one is made in France, seam it is fine.
Congratulations on your new piece!! I’m happy to hear yours arrived with no issues. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Take a look at the tone of the gold keyring, you‘ll see the difference aswell.
I just got one today. I put it back to the box and started the return process immediately. It has a chemical odor and the gold chain was tarnished....
Great Video!!! Your thorough comparison helped me to decide, FINALLY, which clés to sell.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Even before you started comparing I knew that the monogram was made in France. The other two damier prints I can clearly see that the stiching is loose and the damier squares don’t even line up
You have a good eye!! The damier ones were definitely not the same quality. Thanks for watching!
I’d love to get the monogram to see the difference between my alternate one 😣 it’s definitely interesting to be able to compare
My damier azur key pouch should be arriving tomorrow. I'm a little scared now. Hopefully it's made in France!!!
WOW! Thats upsetting I WOULD RETURN THE USA ONES.
That’s what I ended up doing. 👍🏻 Ordered new ones without the stitching issues!
I bought monogram key pouch made in USA, stitching off and zipper kept getting stuck. I returned it got one made in France. Pouch is great but Monogram on both sides are not aligned, a few mm off. I’m keeping since I guess it could be worse. Their quality has gone to crap!
I think I would definitely check with a store and see if they have made in France and exchange
I actually ended up returning these ones after filming this! I ended up getting new Made in France ones with no issues.
This is why I cant get myself to order them online but I want the monogram and it was the only one that came from France so idk
@@Woojoomom_FL I ordered mine today. Watching this video and reading your comment makes me scared...
@@chantalvisscher575 I know :( Hope yours will be fine but mine was horrible. I don't like LV bags or SLGs made in USA....... So sad!
YP Cho Thanks for sharing! I definitely don’t want to regret keeping these. It’s strange how different it seems the canvases can be.
I have a key pouch in DE made in France and it looks like yours in DE. My DA made in France is better in the stitching than my DE...👀🤷🏻♀️☺️
I've seen so many made in US ones that are so poorly made. Edges are so uneven. Yours wasn't as bad but still noticeable. I'm glad I finally found 1 made in France and almost perfect
Mine had that same problem but it was made in France . I can’t be bothered to return it though 😫
I got mine made in US and no problems with stitching. It looks beautiful!
That ébène one is very defective. Return that. I just got the monogram today made in USA and it’s perfect. I got the ébène 10 years ago made in France and it was perfect.
I did end up returning it! I think it was defective as well. Thanks for watching!
You’re totally right!! At the price they ask for these items they need to be quality. I ended up returning mine as well. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
OMG I just bought one today in monogram. Hoping mine is made in France tbh 😭🤞🤞
Yes for 210.00 I would return. The quality should be perfect for that tiny item.
Thank you! Agreed- I am exchanging the 2 damier pieces.
I’ve noticed my Ebene pouch zip pull was starting to chip recently…I’ve only had it a year and for £145 I’m so disappointed 😫
Wow the made in US and made in France pieces are so different!! The color gold is better on the France than the US piece also.
I'm not sure if the quality issues has to do with where the item was made. I just received mine today. It is monogram and made in France and I can see through and corners are not perfect either
Thanks for sharing- that is interesting! I’ve mist often heard that the USA ones have the issues. That’s concerning that the France ones do too!
I had a similar experience with the monogram version which was made in France I just kept it as I won’t get another one
Thanks for sharing. I ended up exchanging mine but was considering keeping because of how scarce they are. I hope yours holds up well for you!
For as much as you pay for luxury goods, quality should be 1st priority, yes send them back!
I bought three last month and the same thing happened to me. Two of them were made in the US and one made in France. The one from France had tighter stitching.
I also noticed the pouches made in the US and a very strong odor to them.
I am not the only one!! Sorry that you had the same experience. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
I have the damier azur pouch, love it. Use it so much.
These key holders are my favourite !!
Yes
Thank you.
I have the same problem with my damier ébène made in France and i lived there .
Overall it was just a terrible experience.
i would exchange them in store only so you can look and feel the difference
Even if it wasn’t a Louis Vuitton item, i feel like the construction is unacceptable. If you can see through it, I fear it will come apart.
Totally agree!! I ended up returning. If it were any other brand I would also do the same. Thanks for your input! ❤️
Thanks for your input!! I did end up returning the damier ones. I couldn’t get over the quality difference. ❤️
Go return it!!! I got the monogram made in paris and i LOVE IT
I noticed that the damier ebene has a gap in the chain the link closest to the clasp....... that is not normal
Ah!! Another reason I am glad I returned it. I didn't even notice that flaw. Thanks for catching that!
Is the zipper and the chain different colors of gold?
Yes! That's also a little weird? I've noticed that the hardware color is different on all of the key pouches that I have seen.
I just bought two online, I am going to closely inspect them, and if I find imperfections I will return them. For the price on this little pouch I expect to be impressed with the quality. If I wanted a low quality piece I rather buy the replica 😄
Totally agree. Hoping you receive good quality ones!!
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox Thanks! Fingers crossed!!😊
Beautiful collection dear. I want to get all 3 soon . Thanks for sharing. New friend & hope for your return of love 💕
Thanks you so much for watching!! Love to meet other lux lovers! ❤️❤️❤️
i have de and mono from lv website both made in france but one says made in frace in red and the other in brown/black.. is there a reason for this?
Hi there- thanks for watching! I’ve noticed that some of the new 2020 DE items have red font. I purchased a mini pochette in DE that also has the red. I think it’s just a little detail meant to match the red interior lining. I don’t think it has any other significance but I do think the red is a cute detail! ❤️
Wow I learned a lot from this VDO. For me I will return 2 of them about a quality issue.
Thanks for watching! I did end up returning the two damier pouches. ❤️
lovely video, i purchased a damier cles a few months ago and i was so excited, once i opened it i was looking at it like wait something is not right. i was unhappy with how extremely thin it was, felt like paper, and the zipper wasn't that smooth to me either I returned it. when i noticed it was made in USA i was like omg, and ran to youtube and seen one video comparing the qualities as well.. we are not the only one. I just purchased a speedy 25b in mono crossing my fingers for made in France but i doubt it :-) thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your experience!! I hope your speedy is perfect! ❤️
I don’t know what to do I guess they’re hard to come by but I wouldn’t want one made in the USA it would piss me off because they just don’t want to have to pay taxes to import here so if they’re gonna make them here they should be cheaper for us here
How can you get a French one if you order online?
You can't unfortunately. It is really just luck of the draw. There is no way to request it.
I mean I have a pochett metis made in the USA and people always ask me if it's fake 🙁 and I think it's because the canvas is less shiny! Apart from the fact that my glassing cracked 😭 I’ll never buy a USA LV luxury.
I don't know whether "made in" matters, my key pouch is made in France, and I can see the light through it on the bottom stitches :(
Same here I just think who crafts it
Where can u get the Made in France ones? Or is by chance
It is really just by chance. If you have a good relationship with a sales associate they may be able to source one for you but you can not specifically order a made in France item as far as I know.
I would return the USA ones.
Thanks!! I did decide to return them. 😊
My “ Made in France” one has the holes !!!
Wow!! Really?? That is interesting- I haven’t seen that on the Made in France pieces before.
Mine too. I have received two MIF and they are bad quality. Dont go by where it’s made 😓
I don't think any item is worth keeping if it seems to be defective no matter the brand .
That’s a good point! I guess I was trying to figure out if this was actually a defect or just a difference? You are right though.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox I get it. But no don't settle for something that before you have even used it you know its probably going too cause you a future problem.LBJ get your money back Don't fall into the hype iof having to have a item because it's now a rarity .
@@Ms.Verde6423 Thank you!! You are totally right.
I returned mine.
Mine was made in France but I can see through the bottom of my pouch
Honestly I ordered the monogram one on Valentine’s Day and I was hoping it was gonna be made in France since it was shipping from Ontario. Unfortunately mine was made here in the US and I can see in between the seams. I thought about returning the products but since they’re so rare to come around, I just kept it. Plus, no one else is gonna see the seams except for me
I feel the same way!! As long as it doesn’t compromise the longevity of the piece- I think I’m okay with it? Just a little strange! Thanks for sharing.
Little Blue Jewelry Box oh honestly same! I just hope that it doesn’t break faster just because there’s bigger seams at the bottom :(
Did you end up exchange or kept them?
I ended up returning and ordering new ones. The new ones are sooo much better! One was made in France and another made in USA but no stitching issues on either. 😊
Little Blue Jewelry Box I just received my key pouch today and it was exact what you said.. thank you so much for your video if not I won’t be pay attention
I’d send the USA ones back and wait, my made in France is perfect
They’re so cuuuute thooo 😫😫😫
My key pouch was made in Spain and unfortunately it looks exactly like the damier azur. Weird stitching at the bottom and looks flat.
Im from the UK and all my pieces are made in France. It is so unfortunate that made in US is so poorly made. They need to send staff over from France to make these.
Totally agree! The USA team definitely needs some help. Thanks for watching!
