Ty sooo much! I make washable quilted Bags, but someone on Amazon said that these will melt in the dryer. Can you wash and dry a Magnet and let me know if you think drying is doable or not?

Hi there, thanks for your comment and question. To be honest, I'm not sure how the invisible snaps will fare in the dryer as I have never tested that. My recommendation would be to make a test bag using scrap fabric and wash and dry it as you would a normal quilted bag. That way you will be able to see what happens and whether they hold up (or not). Hope that helps and please let me know how you get on! :)

Love this tutorial Lisa. I have tried these snaps a couple of times and they never seem to work out. I’m going to try it again using your instructions to see if I can do it. I’m really enjoying all your videos. Thanks so much.

Hi I loved your video, as I just struggle to install a magnetic invisible snap in a wallet I made. A question though why would you not have added the snap to the foam lining? Then there would be no line showing. Am I thinking wrong? Appreciate your creative process and sharing your videos with us

Hi Donna, thanks for your comment and great question! We prefer to add it directly to the lining so as to ensure a good alignment of both pieces of the snap. If you attach it to the foam, you have a chance of it not aligning as well with the other half due to human/cutting/piecing error etc, when assembling the pieces together. Hope that helps and happy sewing!

Thanks for the tutorial. Would these work in a reversible tote?

Thank you so much Kristine! :) And to be honest, I'm not sure sorry as I haven't designed a reversible tote pattern so not familiar with the logistics of how it operates etc. It may have to be a case of trial and error!

I have some invisible (?) snaps which black vinyl around them with little holes around edge, instead of the clear plastic. Would the process for putting them in be the same? thanks Donna

Hi Donna! Great question! From what I'm envisaging, it sounds like the process to install would be the same, however without seeing exactly what you mean, I can't give you a definite answer sorry. If you like, feel free to join and post a photo in our patterns group on Facebook (facebook.com/groups/andriedesigns/) so I can see exactly what they look like. :)

Would this work for a diary, I am trying to fix my sisters?

Hi there, I'm really not sure sorry. It depends on how the diary is constructed and the layers included etc.
