Mathew 6:16 makes it clear “ When you fast…” that does not sound like a suggestion - so It makes sense that there are so many benefits within the practice. Keeping you and your viewers in my prayers.
Absolutely!! We can fast any time .. but the Church sets aside a particular time (Lent) when we can unite ourselves to the mystery of Christ in the desert
