The OH-6 was loved by it's pilots due to the Design making roleovers more survivable. They crashed them quite often and just got into a new one. One of the reasons why the US Army was looking for a "cheaper" option and decided to get the OH-58😅 and you wouldn't like to crash and role an OH-58 like you could an OH-6 ;)

The problem with the sustainability of the Loach was that with the initial contract Hughes was losing money on every single helicopter they made, because they undercut the competition too hard. And when they had to price it so that it could actually be made, they lost to Bell in the competition. =)

With a direct, unassisted link between the controls and the swashplate, this sucker is about as raw of a machine as we have in DCS. It really forces you to know what the rotor system is doing when you use your controls and to stay ahead of it, or else it’ll escape you (often violently). 10/10, it’s no wonder the (seeming) majority of pilots who have flown the OH-6/500 family say these are their favorite to fly.

I'd go as far as to say if you want a more realistic OH-6A experience block off the anti-torque pedals with a saturation on the rudder axis. It's basically just reducing your available pedal. Kinda equivalent to an instructor blocking off the rudder with his foot for multi-engine VMC recovery training.

Maybe it's due to a difference of personal experience, but 5.9Gb for a large-ish mod isn't really too crazy. I currently have a mod installed that eats of around 40Gb (Unification for Dawn of War) and there are some out there which are even more. Just my Assetto Corsa mod folder, while it is a bunch of different mods and not just one, has currently a little bit over 1TB of mods. If I include all of the mods in my personal archive for all of the games I enjoy and wish to keep a record of I have close to 7TB of just mods for games. I know it my sound like a lot to some people, but storage is cheap. You can get an 8TB external these days for about $100. 16TB drives can be found for under $200. Speaking figuratively a Gb just isn't as "big" as it used to be.

Paid modules and most of the vehicles being locked behind hefty paywalls is why I haven’t played DCS in many years. It would be cheaper to buy a Hammerhead from the Star Citizen pledge store than get all the aircraft I want in DCS.
This Dev needs to speak to Polychop to get this OH bird into the game as a official mod. Control curves, Trim and modeling the throttle to either a slider or roll switch on your joystick ;)

Why are you in the co-pilot seat? If you look to your left, there's a reticle modeled in front of the pilot seat. whoever put this mod together took the time to make sure that the reticle was where it was supposed to be, but then put the player in the co-pilot seat........

shouldn't put massive curves on. That kinda ruins the experience. Reduce X and Y saturation instead. Much more consistent control
