Such a meaningful interview - thank you DemocracyNow and Anand Giridharadas
Anand’s book is a must read. Great job Anand!
Anand thank you for educating us. We feel what's going on but you have articulated for us. Keep up the good work Sir
I really like what Anand puts on the table, good vision.
Getting people in the red states to listen to this can go a long way
I would like to hope so, but some people can have the truth right in front of them and they'd call it a lie. So many fellow Americans anymore are happy in their ignorance and are unreachable lost causes. Sad.
@@danieldalton6544 - Agreed, i experience these people on a regular basis, a lot, and i don't cease to be amazed however there is a big part of the stupid out there that is culturally reenforced meaning that it is due to constant exposure of non-progressive thinking without so much as view onto a challenging thought. If you look at racism in America from say the nineteen thirties to present day, you could say that there has been great change due to changes in social mores and yes, the conversation yet there are those who defy basic common sense and there is a culture that supports that. Most people given the chance though, will live and let live. It's gotta make sense to them
MINDS that have been surveilled for years!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you Anand
Love this guy.... Well said! 👏👏👏👏
Bloomberg is only making is clear that we need Bernie.
"Let's end this economic binary and have some understanding of economic fluidity " well said Anand.
That was the real deal with Anand. I pray for countless more eyes on his message.
Every time I watch Anand, I just love him more and more.
His eyes are wide open.
My gosh Anand is an incredible activist, please keep it up, you need your own channel!
When Sanders is asked about socialism, he should repeat what Anand said there, in addition to the "socialism for billionaires" line.
Anand always tells it like it really is!!!
This man is so right. What a great source of information.
Anand says it so clear! Right in front of our face. No more! Bernie 🔥🔥🔥🔥
anand has the best hair in punditry
Trueeeee lmaooo
lol. If I were his advisor it would be to suggest he look more mainstream so that his viewpoints might be taken more seriously by them. But, you know, f%^& them. Rock your vibe, Anand.
aldjfpaoiejfpaoijefa 😂😂😂
From 17:00 on is the thing people really don't understand. I'm so grateful that he made that point.
“The piñata in Nevada,” oh very funny! He was worth 53 billion when he entered now he’s worth 60 billion... this is disgusting! so true Anand, the great sin of hypocrisy giving some taking more.
So when you bust him open with a baseball bat, does money spill out instead of candy?
He's weorth 66 billion! RIGHT?
@@bestcongressmoneycanbuy9704 love it!!
Truth bomb after truth bomb. Well done Anand! You're a legend!
A large piece of cheese that ate a robot. Love this man.
Absolutely brilliant, spot on synopsis
Bernie Sanders is going to mop up the floor with Trump's combover durning the debates.
Bernie Sanders is a millionaire.
@@RocketmanRockyMatrix took him 70 years to get there. Keep that in mind.

Anand Giridharadas book is wonder!! A must buy!
This man help me understand what I was thinking my whole 35 life. But when I read his book at 34 I realize its the system buying me to shut up with the coin trick. Bernie2020
THEY TRICK YOU EVERY TIME YOU VOTE ITS EVERY MAN AND WOMAN FOR THEMSELVES IN THIS COUNTRY
I love that you guys have Anand as a guest. Every couple sentences he says something incredibly insightful and witty.
many insightful points, congratulations
"Cold War Trauma" What a great description for what so many of us lived through, and what it did to the way we see the world. Just to even use "Class War" as a description of the struggle for our own treasury & its fiat power is kicked out of most minds.
Aside from his awesome hair, there are a lot of good points here. Yeah, I agree, the crowd and moderator on the debate were directed.
Anand, You are centered in truth ,reality and pragmatism. We need your voice every day over the PA in order to drown out the corruption and dystopia that steam rolls the world with such unfathomable horror. You are a zietgeist centered in the free fall of humanity hitting all the marks required to help turn the tide. I think your book and presentations have taken root and thus forms the front line of a solid premise and language required to holisticly evolve as a species. My appreciation for what you are doing is endless. Thank You
This is so brilliant!
Thanks Anand for being with us in this tragic time.
I enjoy this. . no interruption by Amy Goodman. . she just let him talk.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving Anand the platform to succinctly spell out the condition we find ourselves in and the need for all of us to step up and take ownership of our part in correcting and improving our society and the way we govern. If we do nothing, we deserve what we get. We can no longer just "roll with it" - we have to get involved... Participate... AND VOTE!
I like this guy. And this is the clearest he has ever layed it out before.
Anand is a breath of fresh air! He is opening eyes of people who take politics and societies seriously!
And everybody laughed at Italians 10 years ago cos they had berlusconi.
WOW! This guy is so spot on!
Excellent interview!
Possibly the best segment to explain the reality of our present time .
I actually had never heard "the pinata in Nevada." Credit Amy Goodman. Love it.
The last two minutes of what he said is the most powerful message.
Being a billionaire is just obscene! Nobody needs that kind of money. If you have it, give it away, back to the people.
What a breath of fresh air!
Awesome rant!!!!!!!!!!
Wiw, Anand is a breath of fresh air!
Thank you for a substantive conversatio.
Amy Goodman for Congress!
She's too valuable to be wasted in Congress.
Anand Giridharadas is brilliant! Hope to see him again soon.
Bernie seems sincere. America riding on an economic bubble, jobs with no future, and future with small number of billionaires.
A man who never held a real job outside of politics.
RocketmanRockyMatrix I guess carpentry doesn’t count or working for the people
Grow up

Thank you Democracy Now, Amy Goodman, and Anand. I have shared this on Facebook, and hopefully all my friends and family who don't agree with my political views, will listen and heed. Most of my friends are progressives, independent, or democrats; so, for them, I'm preaching to the choir. Your channel and people like Anand, not only inform me, but also help me maintain a modicum of sanity. Peace and Safety, from Alice in Aiken SC, a place where SC Republicans practice gerrymandering, and the wealthy live mostly behind guarded, gated walls.
The people who paid $1700 to $3200 for tickets were rich curious spectators at an entertainment event. It was a rock concert for the wealthy who know their fortunes are secure in all hands but Bernie's. They were there to jeer Bernie and applaud their idols.
I believe you speak of Buckley V. Valeo 424 US 1 1976. Something in desperate need of reversal.
@@briseboy Citizens United vs. Federal Elections Committee 2010 is a more recent example. Why didn't Obama stage an address to the nation on TV about it? Answer: He was complicit.
Anand speaks truth to power which we need more now than ever.
I love this guy, he reminds me of a woke brown Ryan Reynolds....keep telling truth to power
Ryan Reynolds!!! You nailed it!
Nailed it. It’s been driving me crazy who he reminds me of and you just gave me the answer. Thank you!
