    Hello Mr. Abi. Thanks so much for your explanation. I have the exact same situation (big to small controller), but the small remote only goes from solid blue to red and blue. In other words, it never gets to the "taking the code in". I have tried replacing the batteries and with difference distances but I always have the same result (from solid blue to blue and red). Have you experience this issue? If yes, I would appreciate if you can share your thoughts.
    Other than that excellent video and thumbs up. Thanks a lot!

      Sometimes the remotes can be a bit temperamental to find the spot where they want to talk to each other. Make sure that the remotes are always touching during pairing. Try the remotes in different positions to each other, e.g. back-to-back, or slightly further up or down the side of the 'master' remote. You'll need to stop and start the pairing procedure each time you move the remote.

    My original remote is broken, which is ehy I got a new one. How do I code from the garage unit?

      We have a video guide on how to pair from the Supramatic unit here: ruclips.net/video/EnlsRvfOgII/видео.html

    Hello, thanks for the video. I’m trying to program HSE2 from HS1 controller. When I put HSE2 controller in “learning mode” the light flashes blue slowly two times and then goes off without getting a rapid flashing. Do you know what could be the problem there? Thanks in advance

    • @abidoors
      @abidoors  9 месяцев назад

      When you hold down the button, the light will initially light up blue then go off, then a second or so later it will start to flash red and blue to indicate it has entered into pairing mode. We'd always recommend having a new battery in the sender fob.

      @@abidoorsthanks for your suggestion. Both fobs have new batteries. HS1 controller (teacher) goes into paring mode. HSE2 controller (one that needs to learn new code) starts learning, flashing blue once then goes off and then slowly starting to flash blue, but only two or three times and never starts flashing rapidly. Have you encountered something like that previously?

    Hello. The house I moved into has a Hormann Promatic garage door. It didn’t come with an opener and so I bought the HSE 4. I cannot pair it to the garage door though. Is it not meant to be used for that?

    • @abidoors
      @abidoors  5 лет назад

      As long as it is the correct series hand transmitter for the correct series Promatic it should code in. There should be some information on the side of the Promatic saying V2 or V3 etc. You would then need to use the correct version hand transmitter. You can find the different versions on our spares site www.ukgaragedoorspares.co.uk/garage-door-hand-transmitters/hormann-hand-transmitters

    Hello, i have a problem, i succesfull coded one button from a roll door of a bulding, but when i want to code the button that opens my garage, the whole process looks fine and the quick blue light appears and it seems successful, but when i press the button on the new remote, nothing happens. What can here be the problem?

    • @abidoors
      @abidoors  Год назад

      If you have a series 4 supramatic, it could be that the fob needs pairing to the motor unit (this is an extra step on the series 4 only). You would need to take the newly paired fob into the garage, and then press and hold the paired button on the fob until the door activates (normally 5 - 10 seconds). We have a video here that shows how: ruclips.net/video/0_1URMVgPcg/видео.html

      @@abidoors Hello, you are correct, i needed to pair my transmitter directly with the Supramatic series 4, it did not have the display but the P button, pressed on it until it blinked red, then pressed the button on the transmitter unitl it was red-blue blinking, then the red indicator on the motor started to blink faster. After 20 sec the transmitter was succesfully coded for my doors. Thanks for the information and the link.

    I'm trying to copy the code from HSE 4 BS (small one) to HS 4 BS (big one) and I can't. The small one does get into blue-red-flashing mode. As soon as it does, I press and hold a button on the big one. It lights up blue for 2 seconds, then two short blue flashes and then nothing. My dealer says they have done something special to the receiver they had given us so that they cannot be copied on our own, only by a dealer. I cannot find any documentation about such a feature existing. Can you please comment.

      Hi, we are not aware of any restrictions on Hormann hand transmitters if they are legitimate branded products. You should keep both buttons pressed until the transfer of the code is complete. Even if the big transmitter does not detect the code, and enter pairing mode, it should at least start to flash red and blue to indicate it is sending a code. If it fails to flash (in either pairing or sending mode) after the initial blue flashes you describe it would suggest a fault.

      @@abidoors Hi, thanks for the reply. Products are definitely legitimate branded products. It is also definitely not a fault. When I previously tried to copy HSE4BS to the same HSE4BS, the exact same thing happened (not able to code), and yet the dealer has managed to code it when I brought the remote to them.
      New remote I'm trying to code definitely responds to old remote being in pairing mode (blue-red flash). If I hold a button on new remote without old one being in pairing mode, the new one starts blue-red flash. But if old one is in pairing mode, new one just stays dark when you hold a button, after initial flash.

      @@peca89 The LED should always show some response if you keep the button pressed, either flashing red and blue, or flashing blue to indicate it is receiving a code. If it doesn't do this it is either not working correctly or is possibly not a legitimate Hormann product. The LED will go out once it has either finished flashing red and blue or finished flashing blue rappidly to indicate it has received the code. Dependning on the firmware version of the hand transmitter there can be a short pause before it starts the receiving blue flashing sequence, so you would need to make sure you keep the button pressed for long enough.

    I understand you are a Hormann dealer. You make it just as complicated as they do. Press 'the'' button. The remote has 4 buttons so there is no ''the' button. Back in the day we had press any key in computers. There is no any key either.

      I'm sorry you didn't find the video clear enough. We do operate as a dealer for Hörmann but we are an independent family business and we do not receive any money from Hörmann or any support to create these videos. I just put them together to help people (not just our own customers!). I try not to overload the videos as this can make it too complicated, but I agree that the information about the buttons is not that clear. Most hand transmitters will be set up as start / stop (as opposed to one button to open and another to close) so only one button is required to be coded in to operate one door / device. The choice of button is up to the user. So you would need to press the button that operates the door on the existing hand transmitter and whichever button you want to use on the new hand transmitter.

    Hormann HSE 4 BS hand transmitter. Really poorly made. It’s meant to be attached to a key ring. When dropped with the keys, and who doesn’t drop their keys sometimes! The remote outer case just breaks into pieces. Try and buy a replacement then silly money.
    Garage door mechanism is ok but this remote rubbish. Come on Hormann you can do better than that.

      Hi Peter, Hormann have release a new rubber protective casing for the HSE 4 to hopefully combat this problem: www.ukgaragedoorspares.co.uk/Hormann-BiSecur-HSE4-BS-Protective-Cover
      They also have released a new more robust key fob: www.ukgaragedoorspares.co.uk/Hormann-BiSecur-HSI-3-BS-Hand-Transmitter-868.3Mhz
