    This was truly educational and overwhelming, and rightly so. Gives me a great feel for how complex OEE implementation is, and also an excellent starting point to dive deeper into it. Another awesome video. Thanks.

      It's not that complicated. I was working with OEE calcs over a decade ago when nobody was using words like "Industry 4.0". It's pretty simple math; you just have to get all the important conditions right and you can always go back and add conditions if you miss some.

    This videos shows how important it is to have a enum states of machine. Having a standardized all the possible state of machine allows the developers to compute the OEE effectively. Most companies invests on technology aspects of determining the Quality factor but they failed to focus on availability and Performance aspects. Which is the most essential KPI for continuous improvement / minimizing & Maximizing scenarios.

    more on the schedule part please

  • @saimanoj2780
    @saimanoj2780 Год назад +1

    Building a customized MES system allows to add more dynamic scheduling constraints depending on the different structure of production lines. To build a dynamic scheduling system requires accurate current status of different systems that's where UNS helps. Can you explain the mechanism of bringing/integrating top level system like ERP system to UNS ? Is there any ERP system that supports Mqtt ?

    • @4.0Solutions
      @4.0Solutions  Год назад

      Dynamic scheduling requires accurate current status---definitely! Rather than expect the ERP to support MQTT, we construct the UNS to reflect the schema used by the ERP, to retrieve and normalize work order and other data needed via API or whatever is possible. The nature of this data changes less frequently.

    Thanks for great videos. I have couple questions in here.
    1-Don't you think that combining OEE of different product technology manufacturer facilities or even different galenic form of product manufacturing lines making no sense in terms of OEE and be a reason of loosing it meaning?
    2- What is the methodology of combining OEE results of different lines, facilities? Simple average, Weighted average??
    Thanks in advance

    Very good video! Hopefully you can answer my question:
    If i want to have the OEE of a line what i would do is ->
    add up all the calculated OEEs of the cells of a line and divide the sum by the number of cells.
    Is that correct and practicable for all the higher insances?
    Greetings from germany :)

    • @4.0Solutions
      @4.0Solutions  2 года назад

      Calculate the OEE of the line as a whole. The line is either up running, or down completely. Aggregating like you suggest makes more sense when aggregating an area or many plants together.

      2 questions:
      1. If i have a line (say a bottling line) consisting of 3 cells (filler, capper, labeler), with 1 inspection camera at the end of the line, can i use the result of the camera as good/bad input for the individual cells?
      2. to calculate the oee of a line or plant, do you simply multiply the oee's of the entities below it? Is the OEE of my line equal to the OEE's of the filler, capper and labeler multiplied?

      Calculating OEE for an entire line often obscures the very information you are looking for and need to take action on such as bottlenecks and maintenance needs. Good question for a future video.
