If you do your burnout in second gear it won't pull to one side like it did. Good to see you putting it to use dude! Look forward to seeing some more racing of all kind. Good job!
That's respectable times in the 1/4... I had a 97 ws6 with the LT1 with an automatic 4l 60E. Transmission stock.. I ran consist times at 13.86 at 98 mph...
When you get ready to install the 243s with that ls6 intake take a look at DEI heat shield for the bottom of the intake . I read an article before buying but it seems to work really weel with keeping the heat out of the intake from the valley cover. Also, if you're thinking about a radiator upgrade check out cx racing. Mishimoto sources their radiators from them. I think they are 20% bigger but it fit in the stock location with no problems at all. I bought mine for $115. It's been a great radiator
Can't wait to see the next video when you run in the 12's. Sucks you have to roll out so far with the stock 10 bolt but she definitely makes some steam after the 60'! Good luck!
New subscriber, first time commenting. I installed a MSD Launch control/ 2 step in my 1999 WS6 6-speed ( which was the easiest install ever) and set it at 3200 RPM. My car is stock except for the MSD coils, E3 Diamond Fire plugs, Taylor 10.4 race wires, baffles removed from air cleaner, K&N air filter, UMI suspension, strut tower brace, and 3 point sub-frame connectors. I also changed the trans mount and added a driveshaft loop.I have Toyo Proxes R1R tires. I have not had a problem with wheel spin or breaking anything. I am running 8.93 in the 1/8th. Hope this info can help you with your launches.
Sounds nice! I have a 1owner stock. 02' ws6 ttop, 6spd. with 32,xxx on the dash! It was my brothers car! it ran a 13.2@107.. have you ever run the car in a 1/4!?
@@scarface9617 no, I have not a 1/4 mile yet. I'll let you know when I do. I'm also the second owner and got the car from my brother. It had 64,347 miles on it when he parked it 13 years ago. I've only had it for 4 months. Had to do a lot of work to bring it back to life.
@@SilverDragon817 he first ordered the silver color.. in 02' but, the dealership got ahold of us and said that the factory was having problems with that color of paint sticking to the humps.. on the hoods.. of the car and they was put on a few months delay.. so he went with black! but, that sounds like a nice lil'setup you got there! i got the strut tower brace.. 180°thermostat.. and the SLP loudmouth airbox w/k&n filter.. can you tell a big def. with the sub.frame connectors and I'd like to have a 2step just for the kicks of it.. also! We (me, my wife, an son) haven't put 500 mile on the car in the last 10yr. but we have started to run it a little bit in the last couple months! probably 100mile.. but I'm gonna start driving it a little more often.. no used to let the car sit! my mom had put the car in the back of the family warehouse about 14yrs ago, heated/cooled so that made alot of difference on a car sitting like that! wow! kinda crazy.. with the similar stories that we have about the same car! Glad we are getting them back out on the road!
Love the vids and the car!! I'm finishing up my 2000 WS6 with an old school reverse split Thunder Racing cam, so it's cool watching the progress on your car. What gears and headlights are you running?
I'm headed back this weekend to keep chipping away at my ET on the 1/4 mile! Stay tuned and subscribe for more update videos!
Really late with this video. Just seeing it now. Did your times get any better?
Great video. And congrats on the music this time.

Interesting. You think it turned because I didn't have enough wheel speed and too much grip consequently?

I bought pretty much the same stuff at Home Depot for 10$. I also told him about it. Definitely keeps the intake cooler.

I have a 02'ws6 with 32,xxx on the dash, but, that 10 bolt will hold the power he's putting down! He will be fine bring that car off the line!
I'd love to see you Autocross your Trans Am along with Kennyslidez and his Trans Am. Kenny would have skid all the way around that track lol
Dude I wish haha. He would be drifting circles around me
great video, you did a great job

Subbed!
Gotta give it some more RPM at the gate.
Agreed! Was nervous with the tire on the back being coupled to the 10 bolt and an aluminum DS
Damn I love Exocets.
