    Props to Ms. Brown for narrating and filming at the same time! Great story too!

      I was thinking the same thing! It's actually a very cool visual.

    Quick note: newer posters can't all be submerged like the old ones. It depends entirely on the paper and types of ink used, and unfortunately a lot of newer posters might have the ink run so these sort of services are usually for vintage posters.

      I'm glad somebody said it, because I was thinking it.

      Only Matt paper will do this and acrylic inks on the print gloss posters won’t grip and in fairness not worth nearly anywhere near the vintage ones are

      @@scottptolomey3498 Very true, those vintage poster's bring in a lot more money.

      @@franktaylor595 then you get the naysayers who dismiss linen backing restoration process by saying it’s not original errr yes it is whether it’s repaired or touched up or bath cleaned bleached linen backed it’s STILL the same poster restored to how it once looked when first printed I don’t get the negativity behind some people two dimensional thinkers imo I’d rather have a nice pristine vintage poster to proudly display than one that’s falling to bits and brown from moisture damage wouldn’t you ??

      @@scottptolomey3498 Definitely would take a pristine restoration over a heavily damaged poster.

    I have an original Wizard of Oz lobby poster with all the masking tape around it. It's only been rounded so no big creases. Can you let me know what it would cost for you to restore it.

    Think it's the first time I've seen a news reporter filming the subject while recording herself on her mobile phone. Weird.

    Awesome! Can you give me any tips on restoring an old torn lithograph? I even have all the pieces. Its 90% whole with a small tear and a few small pieces torn off but i have them. What kind of tape should i use? Or should i not use tape? Thanks sir!🙂

    I got one question. If you have a magazine poster with less glossy/more matte surface.. But it got yellow over the years.. How to clean it? How to improge the colors on it

    Does this process bring down the value or increase? I just acquired over 1,000 Movie Posters, several 100 of them from the 50’s and 60’s...

    • @scottptolomey3498
      @scottptolomey3498 4 года назад

      No definitely increases it’s value especially linen backed they are the original posters after all just being repaired and restored to their former glory

    I cannot see this method being safe on a boxer's cardboard poster from the 50s

    It's peculiar this is frowned upon if done to a comic book, it get less value even if a lower grade presents worse.
