Thank you, I am glad to be helpful ... and I think I got my 'training' to make these videos during the 17 years I spent doing Tie-Dye School Events ... I had 25 kids standing infant of my table asking questions while I tried to teach them how to tie-dye... great fun!!

I was just telling my roomate that your really good at your art and also pretty easy to follow also..we did this one together and it came out great I must say. My next adventure is Im going to attempt to do a rage skirt in tie dye and see how& that turns out. I have always really like rag dresses and skirts so will try to do my best. Wow! I've never seen the discharge process before! I was amazed at how quickly the color came out. Did you resoak the T-shirt in soda after you rinsed the discharge chemicals out? This is such a cool design! I love your ideas and you are an excellent teacher, I don't mind you chatting at all😅
Yeah I feel in love with this Out White Brite stuff ... I have used Bleach in the past and sometime it removed all of the color, but most times it went to an orangey brown color ... this OWB is awesome .... and yes, after I do the discharging... it get rinsed very well if I am leaving it tied up...
SO, I rinse in the sink, spin out the excess liquid, then rinse some more and spin out again ... then I either soak it in soda ash and dye it... OR, I dye it and then add soda ash ... the order does not matter as long as you have the dye, cotton and soda ash together when you batch it you are good.... but the results may vary some with different process ... adding the soda ash at the end has been more convenient for me

How or when did you add the soda ash? You rinsed and spun out OWB, and then refilled, correct? Can you sprinkle it over liquid dye? Thanks for your tutorials, you’re very creative and peaceful 😊
I do not remember for sure.... most times I soak, then tie and dye.... BUT, you can tie, then soak and dye... OR, you can tie and dye and then add soda ash over the top of it ... here is a video where I talk about soda ash and when to add it : ruclips.net/video/rkmAQxOu52A/видео.html
I love this art... there are some 'rules' ... but you can work around them.... so as long as you have cotton, dye and soda ash all together when you batch, you are good ✌🏻

One question on this piece: maybe I lazy listened but did you incorporate Soda Ash anywhere in this process?
Yes, I added the soda ash at the end before I batched it ... When using Procion Dyes, Soda ash is always used : ruclips.net/video/rkmAQxOu52A/видео.html
Do u think this would be possible to do on a white shirt with black dye or do u think it would turn the other colors dark n muddy
Yes it is... I had tied up a while tee in a similar manner with sinew and had a white line instead of a black line ... I will add it to my list of videos ✌🏻
Still haven't been able to find any Out White Bright in our area. Would it work to just bleach then peroxide bath to neutralize the bleach then dye?

You can use bleach if you want to, but for me, it did not remove the same amount of color... most times I got an orange/brown color ... and then yes, if you use bleach, you will need to neutralize it
the other thing I like to use sometimes is RIT Color Remover, for this I add the Rit to a pot and bring it up to around 200 F ... I had a hot plate so I could do it outside, and then add the tee in and stir it around... the color comes out, but it takes a while, so I simmer the tee for a while.... I would da cactus like most other image dyes I do... you can fold in half and draw half the cactus on and then pleat the lines, I think the Cross is the closest to a cactus ... or you can stitch it if you want more detail in it ... here is my Image Playlist : ruclips.net/p/PLMEtBqB2Bzupjyl1-JBNYcPO9dSDNDHD0
