Hey, good to have you back, I thought we'd lost you. I'm happy to hear it was for good reason, congratulations! Hope the break was nice and you had a good time. Unfortunately, it's been so long that the suggestion I had for a video is now outdated. The meta moves pretty fast, especially when banlists happen. If you'll recall, I had an idea for if you wanted to do another video with the Magic version of the "guessing how good three different archetypes are" format, using the current Modern meta again. Well, the decks I suggested are no longer current, but right now I think the format is in a much better place to try that concept out again. If we're trying to stay up to date, the decks I would use now are Boros Energy Aggro for Tier 1, Dimir Frog Control for Tier 2, and Ruby Storm for Tier 3. This would give a good representative spread: one aggro, one control, and combo deck, with specific and distinct versions of those strategies, with four of the five Colours between them. And with how the meta has sort of settled down and stabilized currently, I think the tiers are pretty clear cut, so that would avoid the issue people in the comments had with your last Magic archetypes video, which is that it was debatable which one was in which tier and there wasn't much of a gap between them since they were all good. Here, I think there'll be less disagreement about what the right answer is. They also all have fairly simple and distinct gameplans that I don't think should be too hard to understand for someone unfamiliar, whereas last time I felt like your guest was having a hard time fully grasping what the decks were really trying to do from the small selection of cards you showed.
@@TheOneJameYT Interesting, I don't recall you ever really mentioning your personal experience with any of the decks featured in previous videos. I'm no expert, but here's my idea for what cards you might show (I don't know what the maximum is, but I've seen you go up to six or even seven for some archetypes in some videos - but you can cut out whatever ones you think are least important): -Energy Aggro: Ajani, Nacatl Pariah//Ajani, Nacatl Avenger; Ocelot Pride; Guide Of Souls; Amped Ramptor; Galvanic Discharge; Static Prison; Phlage, Titan Of Fire's Fury -Frog Control: Some kind of generic control piece (like Counterspell or Fatal Push); Consider or Thought Scour; Unearth; Orcish Bowmasters; Abhorrent Oculus; Psychic Frog; Murktide Regent -Ruby Storm: Ruby Medallion as a bonus card; Ral, Monsoon Mage//Ral, Leyline Prodigy; Reckless Impulse or Wrenn's Resolve; Glimpse The Impossible; Manamorphose; Pyretic Ritual or Desperate Ritual; Past In Flames; Grapeshot

Love those ideas for decks! I’ve played Boros Energy myself and even made a masterclass about the deck. Should be a fun one for a future MTG video.

@@TheOneJameYT Oh! Congratulations, hope youbhad a great time
@ we had an amazing time. Glad to be back in action 😎
Arlinn isn't objectively not good, it's just that she's outclassed by better ones
Kalemne is a great aggro walker. She's kinda anti-Ral, because she's much more of a Timmy PW.
Perfect 😈
Congrats on your marriage 👍👏
Thanks John!
what the heck is MTG puzzle quest O_o
A fun mobile MTG-based game with elements of gem-matching games built into it. Pretty fun!
