Hi, Chris! I love Linux, I was one of the original developers back in 1992. It's been a fun journey! If you need help with anything, please just ask - happy to help Linux newbies!
Haha! The coffee thing is a reference to a guy doing lots of IT security related content right? NetworkChuck or something i believe? By the way, your youtube/video game has improved alot. It gives the content you publish the sheen it deserves truly. That's good!
Have you been thinking about setting up an API to write some python code for bid spread blowout strategy, have you played around with data coming in at all?
Not in python. No I haven't played too much with the data but I did get the data incoming if you watched the eWrapper example with the options data. ruclips.net/video/5moyX0qwkCA/видео.html
Mate, you been there done that...what's the delta trading edge going the coding route or we are better off sticking to good OF platforms and just work on custom indicators maybe
I would not know for sure as it's still relatively new to me too. I think you need discretionary skills and the coding is used to improve and automate certain aspects.
Since a few time the TWS shows me a screen "order confirmation" when i´m doing a market order with the BUY or SELL buttons. It was not possible to disable this order confirmation. I deactivated some points in "Messages", but still this screen appears. Bad for scalping, because it needs more time now for an order. Do you know this problem? How to disable this screen?
Do you have real-time market data on TWS? From what I know it is not possible to disable order confirmation if you are trying to trade on the platform without market data.
Wondeirng if you knwo if there is a way to set phone to vibrate as an alert on trader workstation or mobile? This would change my life at work sicne I can not trade so atleast I could know if my account is dropping hard and not be constantly mentally consumed with what I don't know is happenning and the stress if it. I have looked into it bit have not realized a solution.
IBKR has email alerts which can be configured for different conditions. This is pretty much the standard way of receiving alerts from IBKR right now. Are you already using the email alerts with IBKR? I could look into a Telegram solution which would be more customizable.
@@VerrilloTrading I guess my phone could alert me of a new email, but then the constant emails I get would alert me too, which would be kind of a mixed bag. wish I could just have my phone vibrate a few times when an alert is hit. I suppose I could set my new emails to vibrate when I receive then and try to block all emails I get that I dont need fom other places. The alerts in TWS are nice when home because I can set it and watch videos or walk away a let my trades run to be alerted if price starts droping a signifcant amount which I often do, but on the IBR mobile I find it lacking. I have trtied to cofnigure my phoento vibrate on emails but never figured it out granted I didn't put to much effort into it.
I like the stability on Debian so far. Ask any coder how much easier it is to set stuff up on Linux vs Windows. U can use vpkg on windows as a package manager which is good but sometimes there is issues with certain dependencies like finding a compatible version of openssl if you are doing networking.
hello i want videos or courses to learn day trading i already done some and i have good knowledge but i need much better way of stock screening and strategies actually i didn't find strategies that suitable for me also can u help me find good discord chart room for day trading
Hi, do you know if the API and TWS use a shared memory inter process or a passing file interprocess to trasmit the data feed ? I would like to extract the data... or may be I can juste triger and read the bash file while running with my main program ? any idea ? I'm a beginner open to suggestions :)
I am not sure if I fully understand the question. The way I understand it is the TWS API is a method to talk directly with data structures in TWS. TWS gets it’s data from IBKR servers. Your application is separate and will use it’s own memory and dependencies.

Thanks, what are you trying to understand specifically? Cheers.
Great video, I don't really use IB, but feel like the quality of your videos has really improved, or maybe I wasn't using 1080p setting before LOL

Network Chuck! Lol I literally laughed out loud. That's good this video was funny!
Tmux support split current tab to multiple windows as well.
Tmux is great.
Great video as always bro. I have an u related question. Can you see open interest volume on SC?
Thank you! Yes Sierra Chart has open interest on historical charts. For CME the Open Interest is reported when the market closes.
can use a Cmake files to organize all these.
I haven't done much with cmake except write some cmakelists on Windows. Do you know any resources worth looking at to study how to use cmake?

that's not dll, this is Linux, that's the *.so files.
Thank you for the idea, I have in it my list for a future item to look into.

Ur becoming a nerd, is Linux necessary or can u do it in windows?

Is this possible with MacOS running on M2 chip? @VerilloTrading . If yes Please make a tutorial.
Probably is, would need to look into it further.
@@VerrilloTrading thanks for the reply. Would love to see the tutorial
@SS-hw1ou probably won’t happen anytime soon as I don’t have a mac M2 machine lying around. I’ll look around.
