    I think DMD is incredible and having the SOS feature makes it the complete package. My issue with the SOS attached to the bike is if you get separated from the bike, you might not be able to get back to it. Or if the tablet gets broken in a crash. The Garmins with integrated InReach have the same issue. To me, the safest option is the separate InReach attached to your body.

      Completely agree. Inreach on your body is still the ideal choice.

      About $15 a month I believe depending on the plan you pick

      @@AdvTechMoto Just to confirm, this ability in the device requires a provider SIM card as well as being in an area that has cell service. Considering the options since I already have a Zoleo device. Will this device automatically trigger a call in the event of a major crash, again assuming you have a SIM card and cell service?

      Yes, you'll need signal (which is one barrier to a cell plan for sos) and it will send an sms text and location. For backcountry I'd still carry an inreach style sos device.
