These were actually mock ups/prototypes in 1985 of what the shadows were supposed to look like lol! The only difference is they replaced the leather that was originally on there with Nubuck. So in a way they kinda are OG just an unreleased and slightly altered OG LOL great video!!

Heard it’s not as soft or nice as the Breds, Royals & 1.0 Shadows. But I actually don’t like the OG Shadows at all. Too basic. Basically all Blk pair w/ some grey.

The most versatile 1 to release this year. Quality is low, but wearability is super high. These are a unreleased OG and will NOT be dropping in resale hype.
Grey and black can’t go wrong with these imo, the colour blocking is very nice and will go with everything if I don’t cop on raffles I’m buying from stockx on the 15th price isn’t too high

I could be wrong but I think Nike pulled a nice little scheme lol. They tricked people into liking Jordan 1 mids more, then they slowly started putting mid material on Highs because it was cheaper and they would make more profit because it would sell out every time.

Jordan 1s picked up with breds but 2014-2016 wag off years for Jordan but the leather on those yin yang blacks, shattered backboards, all-star 1, Letterman's , even the teal 4's leather, or toro suede, but shadows sat on NYC SHELFS FOR 6 -8 weeks, the pine green / black white, clay greens went to $350-$400 quick. But super crazy hype Jordan 1's $$$$$$ started with the 2019 pine green black retro 1, after that shoe which is $409 1's hit warp speed
I would say Jordan 1’s might have started getting popular again in 2013 BUT it didn’t get ridiculous until after the OffWhite and Travis Scott’s. Because I remember right before then the Metallic Navy/Red, Sails, Hyper Royal, Game Royal, etc were all sitting and you could easily cop for retail around that 2017-18 era. Now every single Jordan 1 sells out, they’re impossible to get on release, and they always have resell. It’s crazy how many colorways drop too like you mentioned
