Hi there! Love your work! You should use the Width Tool (Shift+W) on your basic lines, It will save you a lot of time on those lines! It was a life changer for me when creating those hand draw like lines!

Also use live paint tool, and then expand it... it will speed up coloring process ;)

If I had a scanner, I'd probably draw all my videogame gfx on paper and transfer them to Illustrator. Anyhow, pretty nice job, you could sell graphics to people that develop games

PhotoShop is a Raster image base you can do Photo Editing Painting.... while Illustrator is Vector base.

Guilhem B First we select the shaps and Shift+M to active cutting mode. Hold Alt for minus it. Hope it help you.

The person used the pen tool, so you can do it with a mouse easily !
Where did you get the brushes?
I got it from the default Brush Library. But I ended up not using it. I just use stroke and expanded it and tweak the stroke size manually.
